From The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock.
Question #65: When you tell a story, do you often exaggerate or embellish it? If so, why?

I may embellish a little to make it funnier.
I would never distort the truth at the expense of someone else though. I noticed my mother does this a lot. When she retells a story, if you were there when it actually happened, you would swear she must be talking about a totally different experience.
