@jacob: Lol, yeah I've watched a documentary of sorts about British people and work and they touched on that. They took two or three unemployed Brits and had them hired in jobs that actual immigrants usually take, so as you said, factory lines etc. One of them didn't even show up on the first day. His explanation was the unemployment money is better than just working such a low job, or something along tose lines. The second guy got there late and didn't work properly, then he just said it's not for him so he quit... on the first day.
And boy oh boy, did it sound familiar. It's the same here in Poland wiht Ukrainians. Poles keep whining that Ukrainians take our jobs but they really don't. Mostly they take some house/office keeping jobs, which no one really wants. Besides, what's so bad in a young Ukrainian person getting educated in Poland and working here a proper job, I mean decently paid one. I see nothing wrong with it, but people are rabid dogs ;/
