I've decided to just go for the things I really like and continuously gave up on more items during the event to make it achievable :mctongue:

If things go nicely, I'll also go for the female hair, it'll be additional 300 flowers. Though I doubt it :mcwink:

Do you celebrate Easter? Have you started preparations yet?

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

No, that one fortunately is not one of the things that is making me busy. It'd be a terrible weekend for it if I had to deal with that too!

How about yourself? Is it one of your holidays, and are you ready for it?

Yeah, we do celebrate it. It'll be pretty busy, but it would be worse if we were organizing it. We're just guests this year. And I think it'll stay that way for many more years. Since my grandmother died over 2 years ago we don't have any more famility around to spend holidays with, so we're spending it together with my father's close friends. Both Easter and Christmas. They always organize it, but still we have to also prepare something too. I'm baking cakes, as every year. I'm pretty proficient with it and my parents never actually wanted to do it, so it's always my task.

There's still some time, so I haven't actually started yet, but I've already slowly started preparing for it, meaning I got proper equipment from my parents. I'm planning to do some shopping today too.

Ah, nice! Always lovely not to be the ones hosting big events. I end up hosting a fair bit and it's just so much work...
What kind of cake do you make for Easter? Is it a common tradition that's pretty wide-spread or more of a local or familial custom?

If it wasn't for Internet events I'd totally forget about Easter.
No one celebrates it here and I'm leaving for our honeymoon on Easter Day actually so it's not like I can do anything. (except binge on champagne in the lounge but I don't even like champagne so ... XD)

Both cakes are local here in Poland. Both are also traditional. I'm baking Mazurek for Easter and yeast cake for my parents, since they asked me to do so. There'll be a yeast cake already, so I think we're not going to take it with us.

Well, Mazurek is actually baked only for Easter. It doesn't have a name in English, but you can google it :mcwink: It's usually very sweet and very decorative. There are also many kinds of it. I'm making an almond one, much less sweet than what you can buy, since I don't like sweets.
Yeast cake is universal, but it's often eaten here during holidays.

Oh, wow, Kuuki, congratulations :mcsquee:

Oh, and it's back to 1 flower per post. It still says 2, but it's actually 1. So it was actually a bug :mccry:

Well, too bad.
