Is there something on the 25th too or is the 24th the last day and then it just stays open until whenever you guys close it so others can get what they missed?

Will all aspects of the event end on the 27th/27th, or will it only be certain parts? By parts I mean collecting materials, baking keys, and opening windows.

There are 24 windows, so there are 24 gifts.

As said before I am not sure about the end date and whether it will be the 27th or some other date, but when it ends, all aspects will end.

They noticed it after the event started already and starkad saw too much effort in fixing it(to be honest i agree...you cannot accidentally reopen a door and there is a message popping up so you won't have a problem xD)
