UPDATE 28.12.2013: No more new Spices, Sugar and Flour can be gathered from now one, but since there are still plenty of these materials around, we decided we would give users a chance to spend them on additional items before removing them. This means that, for now, you can RE-OPEN windows of the Doughnight Calendar, which you had previously already opened, thus getting multiple of the same event item. This option will stay available for 1-2 days, then all Spices, Sugar, Flour and Keys will disappear. Contrary to some rumours going around, they will not be turned into food, so it is better to spend them on keys/items while you still can.
Starkad already removed the link to the Calendar on the right side of the page, but you can still access it through the link further down in this announcement post.

Hello everyone, it is time for our Winter Event 2013!
All of you who were here for previous winter events already know what Doughnight is about. For the rest of you:

Once every year the residents of the Kingdom Of Knuffel experience a rare and exciting phenomenon. On the night of the 24th of December the planet on which our beloved Kingdom can be found is placed in exact position between the huge sun and the moon. The planet throws a shadow on the moon, causing it to look like a giant doughnut in the sky seen from the Kingdom. In addition to that the constellation of the bunny is clearly visible on that very night, which results in the visual effect of a bunny jumping over the doughnut-like moon.
On the 24th all of the residents of the Kingdom gather under the clear sky to watch the exciting event.

For this special celebration the kingdom offers the Doughnight Calendar: A Calendar to count down till Doughnight and gather special event items!
From December 1st till December 24th you can visit the Doughnight Calendar and open a window of the calendar each day. The 1st window can be opened on December 1st, the 2nd on December 2nd and so on. The windows open according to KOfK Server Time. If you missed out on one, you can open it on a later date!
However, there is a little tweak to it this year:
In order to open a window you need a gingerbread key! You need one key for one window. You can get such a key by baking it with the following ingredients: 12 flour, 8 spices and 4 sugar.
How to get these ingredients?
You get Flour for posting in our forums. Each posts gives you 1 Flour, except for the Spam and the Word Game forum, where you cannot get any Flour.
You can dig up Spices with your Knuffel on Candy Island!
You can find Sugars hidden all over the Kingdom! There are 5 Sugars hidden. Once you have found one, a new one will appear in a different place after 23 hours. Don't worry, you don't have to keep track of time. There is a little timer right under the event banner on the right side of the page that will show you whether there are currently any Sugars hidden anywhere, and when they will reappear!
You can see the ingredients you own in the material tab of your wardrobe.
All of these options become available on midnight server time, December 1st!

We understand that our last event was very popular due to the fact that you had multiple ways to get the same event currency and that this is not the case with this event as you will need all 3 event currencies to bake the keys. To make up for this we have made it so that Flour, Spices and Sugar are tradeable! This means that you can buy and trade them from/with other users. If you do not like posting, you can buy them from chatty users who enjoy making 100+ posts a day, if you have an army of Knuffel you can sell your Spices to users who possibly might not have any Knuffel at all, and so on. If you cannot get all ingredients on your own, try working together!
