People who mind don't matter, people who matter don't mind.

I come online and I've seen numerous people talk about how bad their parents treat them.
It makes me really angry and confused.
My best friend said her mom once told her that she wished she didn't have kids.
And I remember being so pissed.
And Aki's mom isn't that great and told her basically that digital art is not real art and dismissed all her effort in the pictures she's made and treats her badly in other areas too.

I'm lucky to have such understanding parents.
They're very supporting and have never told me I couldn't do something.
It's actually kind of hard too because I feel the need to keep them satisfied.
Like with my GED tests, they're so confident in me and so I want to make them happy.
So I put a lot of stress on myself because I don't want to let them down.
I want to make my parents REALLY proud of me.
They already say they're proud, but really?
I'm a complete loser.
Why're they proud of that?
I dropped out of school and sat on my ass for 7 years and did nothing.
That's a loser.
People aren't proud of losers.

And keep your dreams alive.
So many people lose hope and get very sad.
I will never live out all of my dreams, but I'm determined to live out some.

Your right, my dad is supportive of what I do. he's the one with so much high hopes for me. He's most of the reason I want to do myself right and follow what I believe is my path. count my blessing I guess?
though he also has his bad moment, cause he's an ex-military commander
so you can understand how he's so tuff on the outside.

it makes me mad too.....why do parents unappreciated good sons/daughters like that? and why can they only see it when he/she has left them? or worse
fallen into some sort of depression/destructive behavior.

I'm sorry aki's mom treats her unwell, no one deserves that. it sucks

I'm still in highschool
not only that I'm an honor student, I have a high GPA of 3.8 out of the maximum of 4.0
I take hard classes, college classes
I'm in a special honor program for AP student, I'm also in a specialty program for art for the gifted ( which both had to be tried out for and pass)
I've won numerous awards, my art's been in galleries
I just passed 2 of my AP test, which means I get college credit WHILE still in highschool plus I get 200 $ from the college board for passing.(Hard as hell tests BTW, drove me insane to study for for months)
not only do I have that.
I DO ALL THE STUPID SHIT AT HOME, I clean, cook,wipe,sweep,feed the dogs, fucking mow the lawn for Christ sake's what does she have to be such a bitch to me!
i'm not an unkind person right? I don't deserve to be treated like trash when I feel like i'm far from it. I deserve kindness, I deserve tht she at least loved me and appreciate me for all I do..........but that's not gonna happen.

so i'll just ignore her....what I can't see, I can't feel
what I can't hear, can't hurt me anymore than it has.

I keep my dreams alive because I deserve them.

All of that stuff is amazing.
You're really intelligent and a good person to talk to.
I actually thought you were in your 20s when I talked to you so you're pretty mature too.

Hum, I don't know what to tell you besides ignore her.
Maybe one day she'll change.
But she reminds me of my aunt who's called me a fat lazy retarded bitch.
And she's always yelling and being really pissy.
Unhappy people are going to stay that way until they decide to change.
You shouldn't let it affect you.

My dad is tough. He used to spank me a lot.
And he always told me what he's doing is for my own good.
But I already knew that. I learned that when I was still young.
He's hard on me sometimes so I do good for myself and I know that's all he wants.

He was married to a woman a few years ago and all her son did was no good.
And my dad constantly told him to get off his ass, get a job, go to school, etc.
And he hated my dad.
Now he's a father himself and he is either going to school or has a job.
And I'm sure he understands my dad now.

Ugh, I'm very nervous about my math GED test.
My teacher scheduled it for the 19th.
And I was like uB

Because I didn't think I was ready.

Today I scored a 440 on a practice test.
Which 410 is barely passing.
But she's confident in me passing.
So are my parents and friends.
And on the inside I'm like ;0;

BUT I found out today that if I fail, I don't have to retake ALL the tests, just the math.
And since I paid online, the retake is free.
