Oh! Please tell me more about mythology! Greek? Roman? Egyptian? Other? Now i'm curious! I know this series of books, it did references things like Valhalla, that one god that had two crows (one of them keeps memories for him), even an entire book about Hades and Persephone! (Where it was that the two actually wanted to be together, so they conspired for it, but Hades' attempt to use his wing-man to take her, accidentally took the wrong woman, and Hades had to take Persephone himself

).
But those other, "Grim" style fairy tales are in this series too. Woman who drowned themselves because they were scorned by their lovers, then lure men into their ponds and drown them. There are also more general things, like "Songweavers" who can make a tune out of whatever they want, and as long as it catches on, people sing it. The more they sing it,the more it becomes legend, and the more it becomes legend, the more this 'force of magic' will start to try and make it true.
