"If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven't you told them yet?"

Hmmm.... there are some half-finished letters, that it would be mildly troublesome not to have finished, but I make a new set every week so there are always half-finished letters, and these ones will go out in the mail on Friday, so....
you know, I don't think I have many potential regrets of the "unspoken things" variety!
There are other things I would regret.

My sister composed a song and we're going to play around with harmonies for it on her next visit, and I would regret not being able to do that. But, you know, we have plans already to meet and do this, so it's not a strong regret (we did our best, death intervened)....

I've got plenty of issues. This isn't one of them, thankfully.

This is why I say the stuff that I need to say, to live without regrets.

I got an email from my mom once recent-ish about someone who died, and how it's like sad because blah blah blah, unsaid things and regrets, and then she said some stuff she'd been "wanting to say" and I was like... did you not know you were going to die until now?

I know its bad but this is how I feel. I would regret not getting to tell him one last time that I love him.

Why haven't I told him? Because there's no point to it. Its just some inane desire. I've moved on already. He doesn't care. and he won't ever. so.. why I feel this way I don't know.. but I guess it is what it is.

I suspect I just want to get the closure of my life by confessing that I still care and that I hope he doesn't forget me because I'll never forget him.
