Today was one of those days where one feels like the universe does in fact have a personal grudge against you.

First the political news of the day (past weeks) has me so angry I can't see straight.

Then my Audible credits don't drop. So I call and get that fixed. But then after I use my credits the books won't download. I try to download as usual and it sends me to the "How to Download" page, as if I need to install the software to do it. Which I already have on the computer because I've had Audible for nearly a decade now. In fact, I downloaded a new book only ten days ago. No idea what is going on there but the headache in my neck was already starting so I def didn't feel up to calling them about it just yet.

So I install the software on my laptop. Where it still doesn't work. So I investigate a bit and discover that since the laptop has Windows 10 I need the desktop app. Now *that* works. I can finally download my books. Yay! I do that and put them on a stick to transfer to Windows 7 desktop. I've done this dozens of times before.

Only this time iTunes says I need to authenticate my computer again. Which I try to do. Which doesn't work because Apple says my password is wrong. Which is not because I have it written down because I'm old and forgetful. So I try to reset it. And run into the security questions I set gods only know how long ago and apparently I don't remember ANY of them.

Meanwhile my neckache escalates to defcon 11. I lay down for a while. Nada. I get up and try to futz around with the whole thing again. Nada. Finally I take my pain meds and go to bed at a time which is very early for me. Then I wake up at 2am and don't get back to sleep. And my neck still hurts. Which is a first, usually a few hours of real sleep will fix it right up. So I honestly don't know what to do about my neck

And all of it was set off by a website suddenly not working. All I wanna do is listen to my shiny new books on my iPod while I do chores and play my games, and somehow I don't think that is going to happen any time soon.

Do you have these kinds of days?

I am.

The news.

Then facebook marketplace keeps flagging my ads saying they are against the rules even though they're not even close to against the rules. They must have certain words that trigger ads to be automatically flagged, and I can understand that, but literally none of the words from any of my ads should be on that list. I disputed it, and it said I would hear back within 48 hours, but I have been having this issue since September 20th.... I opened a ticket to let them know, and I got no response there either. Notifications are also bugged for me, so I get a notification every single time someone posts in a group even though I turned off notifications for the group.

Then our credit card number got stolen for the second time in a month.

Then my phone was saying I couldn't take any more pictures because my storage was full even though my storage was not full.

Then both the orphan mouse babies that I raised got loose.

And I slept awful last night. I was really hot and really cold at the same time. I was covered in sweat. And I couldn't stop thinking about the mice. I finally gave up on sleep and got up at 5:30.

Oh man, I am so sorry about all of that. I hope the baby mice will be okay. And I so feel you on the hot/cold problem of sleeping. I have that a LOT since the change. :qsob:

I at least finally got my iPod, iTunes, and computer all talking again so at least that is fixed.

My "one of those days" started from last night, but I'm going to count it as a day because well, last night was morning somewhere in the world.

I snapped and told my father I didn't want to do the degree he'd already paid for me to do for a year. Then my mother was in on the discussion, and together, my parents made my college admission process about them.

This morning, I woke up early after a night of uselessly tossing and turning in bed, and went to a bike riding class. I was supposed to go to a music class after, but I was supposed to skip that because the discussion wasn't finished and "which one is more important, your music class, or the discussion?"

Surprisingly, the bike riding class, which was my mother's interest, wasn't less important than the discussion the way my music class was.

But the music class missing thing turned out to be useless, because I fell sick and had to be rushed home.

Now I'm sitting here, waiting for my father to come home, so the all-important discussion can be finished and I'm not ready. I'll never be ready and honestly, neither will my parents. And I'm just waiting for a circular shitshow.

Luckily I was able to re-catch one of the mouse babies, and she was the one who was weaker and that I had to syringe feed more, so I was really happy about that.

Yes, I have 10 mice now! I never planned on having mice, they just sort of happened!

I cannot think of a specific case at the moment, but I do have those days, and I feel like "Yeah, everything does happen for a reason", just the reason this time seems to be efing your day up. :qsq:
