I don't have any friends offline and I'm only close to a few family members, so I don't know that many people that I can ask questions to.

I thought it was normal for me to be exhausted constantly.
I was told I have depression and that's why I'm always exhausted.
Well, I've been getting more and more draggy and forgetful and zoning out a lot.
I was talking to my aunt and I told her I thought it was normal to always be exhausted.
She said it's not normal.
I did go to a sleep study to see if I have sleep apnea.
There's some days where I just want to sleep for days because I'm so tired and tired of being tired.

But it's left me wondering what's normal and what's not.

I get tons of random pains all over my body.
A few minutes ago, I got a sharp pain in hip area.
I get pains like that all the time.
I also used to get pain in my lower back and I had trouble moving when I'd lie down.
Well, I ignored that and my doctor said it looks like I have Sciatica.
My back has gone out two or three times this year and it's horrible.
I also get stomach pains and such like I've mentioned.
I thought it was normal, so I just dealt with it.
But I've gotten sick as hell twice and it was traumatic.
I told my doctor about that and how I get horrific pain if I drink just a little alcohol and so my doctor is going to send me to a stomach doctor.

My point is, I don't think it's a good idea to assume things are normal.
If something doesn't feel right, it's good to ask.
If you ignore it, it may get worse over time.

Have you learned this lesson?
How did you learn?
Do you like grapefruit?

Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

If you're sleepy and tired all the time, you may have Hypothyroidism, so I think you may mention it to the doctor and do a proper blood test. It has a lot of various symptoms, but they are pretty unspecific, so it's never the first sickness that comes to mind. I've got it diagnosed pretty quickly only because my mother has it too and at some point she started to complain I'm too sleepy and I should go to doctor and check it now, because it'd be problematic if I had it diagnosed as late as she'd had it.

If your thyroid is only a little underactive, you're only a bit sleepy. But at the college I had one person with a serious thyroid underactivity. She got it diagnosed when she ended up sleeping for 3 days straight and noone was able to wake her up, so they took her to a hospital...

I'm not sure if it's your case, but I think it's worth to check it.

Well, back to the topic, I'm also not a person with many friends. I wasn't able to really befriend anybody 'till I got to college. And I've never been close to anyone from my family. When you're on your own most of the time, you automatically assume everything you feel and do, and the others do towards you is normal. It's natural.

I've learned it when I was meeting up with one of my friends at her place. We were talking about many things. About our past too. There were many times when she was listening me silently and after I finished speaking she said seriously that's not normal. Well, there were also times when I said it to her, so it works the other way too.

I like grapefruit. I generally like bitter things.

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

I'll have to ask.
I used to get my blood checked every so often to see if I had thyroid problems, but nothing ever came back, so I haven't checked it in about 2-3 years 8u

I'm sorry you were also friendless and couldn't talk to family too ;;
But it's good that you learned of these things u8

I've always gotten random pains, but when I was younger, I'd get told "It's just growing pains 8u"
So I guess I assumed every pain was normal or something just had a hiccup.
But with my back, I didn't think it would leave me almost unable to walk or move without pain.
