I have come across rude remarks.
Like how all Americans are rude and ignorant.  32%  [ 12 ]

You ever come across someone saying that certain people of certain countries are certain ways?
Not in a bad way.
Like I've heard that the Irish have hot tempers and the British are usually calm and polite and Latinos are fiery and make great lovers.
I'm from Texas, and I've heard we have "That old southern charm".

This is NOT everyone, though.
People differ no matter where they are.
But I find it interesting.



Have you come across these before?

Well that's typical stereotyping and I see it everywhere, not just people c:
Here many have stereotypes even for people who live within the country, so if he's from one specific place then he's most likely to be something but I try and avoid these as I don't want to form a mental image for someone without getting to know him first.

I wonder how they started and why it's so...common for people to say xD
That's what I find interesting.

I know I'm Irish on my mom's side, and we all have hot tempers xD;
But I think that's a learned thing. Passed down through the family.
You know, your parents act this way, you pick it up and continue.

Well it's probably a word of mouth thing.
Like I went to the Netherlands and was thinking oh my god, they're so tall. I mean, there was this elevator I entered that had a mirror and I could just see the top of my head and the toilets were also gigantic haha.
So like when I come back I'm gonna share it with the rest of the people here and they store this piece of information in the back of their mind, so if another person says the same I did they might actually believe that all dutch people are tall.
This is a vague example but hope it gets my point across.

I really would like to visit a lot of places and see how things are for myself.
I find it hard to believe things like "Oh, yeah, all ___ are rude as fuck >8U"
