I dislike this event for the exact same reason I enjoyed the previous event. I loved the fact that for Halloween you could choose your own way of getting the event items! Having to do multiple activities to get the event items feels like an even further step backwards than just requiring a single activity to participate. The spices seems to punish those that don't have dozens of Knuffel yet, i.e. the new people you've wanted to attract and keep around. And the amount of sugars one can find a day is a little too low to make the "come back later to get the items you missed" possible -it takes at least four days to make up a single door missed if you were unable to perform any task.

Being able to trade is nice, but I feel that between price gouging and a very restricted supply (mostly the sugar) could cause the ability to trade to be not as helpful as it needs to be. I'm trying to think of the best way I can help others, and in turn help with the item I'm going to have the most trouble collecting (flour).

Changing up the event activities and attempts to generate more activity is nice, but I'm not sure this is quite the way to go about it.

but if each key requires 4 sugars and you can only get 1 sugar per 24 hours, how would that benefit anyone? The event would be over by the time I acquire enough sugar cubes to get even half of the calendar items.

I don't like that time frame.. maybe if it was every 20-60 mins or something.. but 24 hours for 1 sugar?

You get 5 sugar every 24 hours, and you need 4 per day to get the key to the item, so you get 1 more than what you need daily.

Interesting so far--haven't been able to find the 5th sugar (hope I don't need it!) and I don't usually post much...I guess I'll be posting more :).

I was really looking forward to Doughnight but it looks like I'm going to miss it entirely. I don't like events that force me to post - all I can post in the same answers in the same Extended Discussions topics over and over every event, or just spam in the spam section. I love advent calendars and December is SO busy on EVERY site that I really look forward to the calm events. I don't have time to post and dig constantly.

Yeaah the "Next sugar appears in" seemed to really confuse people. Maybe if it said "Next batch appears in" or something.

This event would be perfectly fine if it wasn't for the digging portion. That's it.

Eh, it'd be a lot nicer if not for actual things to work for... Sweeter or not, the advent is usually a nice, happy time of free gifts, not work at all.
