Background Knowledge

Background knowledge concerning the Japanese language.

Japanese does not use question marks (?). Ka is used at the end of interrogative sentences as a verbal question mark. As in any language, your voice rises in pitch at the end of an interrogative sentence. Make sure to do that, it will help people know you are asking a qestion.

Useful Phrases

Useful phrases. Does not contain a pronunciation guide; ask for assistance if needed. Hiragana will be removed when new phrases are added.

Why is desu "???"? Isn't there an extra "e" in it?

Also, I would suggesting adding "daisuki" in there as "really like." :3

Mikeru-san: Where should there be an extra e? o.o
I guess I get rid of here, then, and teach it later.

Meepy-chan: No, what?

I don't know. D8
That's why I was asking.
I think I've seen it before in Chinese, but I'm not sure.

I ran it through a translator and it said "groove". o_o
EDIT: Huh, it can also be "ditch". (tried Chinese -> English translation)

There shouldn't be one. I was asking isn't there an extra "e" when you wrote "? ???? ? ?? ?? ?." but I see you took it out. XD

Yep, and added daisuki.

The only kanji I know is nihongo, which was the first word I learned in Japanese.
