Use "wa" where? Woops, I forgot to add the "ka" after the "desu." XD

What are they for?
Yuuko wrote:XD! Do you know Street Fighter?
Classic! My brothers like Ryu and Ken, but I was all about Dhasm (sp?) and his long range attacks. XD
But I'm not a fighting game person either. Back then it was all about that Mario Paint. XD

I mean we all kinda picked this thread so we can learn, or brush up on our Japanese and with what you`re doing I think it`s putting most the people off. I know you are all trying to get to know each other and all, but I really don`t think this really is the place.
I`m sorry, but truthfully after reading everything I really don`t feel up to checking back on this thread. Just putten in my two cents.
XD; Yeah, well, it's true that we came here to brush up our Japanese, but I just figured that a hangout is a hangout, and that it's not wrong to go off-topic, as long as we come back to it in the end. I don't really know what went on, though; when I saw some paragraphs that were irrelevant and skipped. XD;

Hai! I took classes in college with two sensei! Omoshiroi desu! They had different teaching styles, but were both a little strict. :3
Waltz wrote:For those that took classes, were you ever paired with immersion students? Kids that took japanese because of a program in their elementary that takes them to the end of their high school year?
Would I be correct in say "paired ja nai"? XD No, we only paired up amongst ourselves in class. :P We did have students who went overseas come to our class and talk about their experience though. That was fun.
Hikarisoul16 wrote:When ever my teacher starts saying everything in Japanese, everyone will be all, "What!?" But it's not like my Spanish teacher who did it and then never told us what it meant later. We'll be able to pick up what he says now and then.
XD My sensei did that too! (Speaking in Japanese all the time.) Except he usually says stuff we're supposed to understand, and sometimes he gives us hints. XD
