What you learned was the polite way (since "desu" is added to be polite). Plus you said thanks. XD Again, watashi isn't really needed... XD

Moshi moshi is used when answering the phone. It's not used as a greeting outside of that. XD;

I think Aya-san and I are about the same level...but she's probably more familiar than I am with certain things, since I haven't used what Japanese I've learned in about two years. ^__^;
