We got rain today, plus a few storms. It's been wicked hot, so I'm wondering if it's about to get really cold. They say "blackberry winter" is due since the blackberries are blooming.

Aren't blackberries supposed to bloom now like most fruit trees and bushes? What's a blackberry winter?

I only want rain if it cools down the temp. Not if it just makes thing more humid and hot. Lol

We got a little bit of rain today that managed to ring down the temp just enough to be bearable while I was out doing my groceries. Still was hot enough to give me a headache. :}

Local belief is that we always get another good cold snap right before or during the time the blackberries are in bloom, and I've seen lots of big, beautiful blooms on the trails lately. A few weeks back was "dogwood winter" when the dogwoods were in bloom. And I think there is a third one out there...? At least our unstable weather is predictable by some standard! @w@

Today was sweltering. And the place we’re renting took away our water lol. Apparently the owner might’ve forgotten to pay the water bill? So they just took it away. Lol

Yikes. Is there anything you can do to get your water back asap? I believe it is illegal in most places to simply take it away, as it is a human basic necessity. :}

Well we were away for a few days bc we went to taiwan. They could’ve come by but we didn’t know? But there should be a letter too and the homeowners said they didn’t get any. So we currently booked a hotel for a few days, the homeowner will pay for it bc this water thing was on the fault on their end.

oh well that's at least good. Still where I live the home owners would be responsible for the hotel bill as well. :}

Yeah that’s what they’re doing lol. After all, we’re the ones inconvenienced.
