Southern sweet tea is a certain brown tea in a tea bag, usually lipton brand, that we dump five huge scoops on sugar into while it's still hot. ::)

I like black tea with lemon and honey. Otherwise, herbal teas with honey. I do like boba tea with non-dairy milk though.

So, what we do at home is we bring a pot of water to a boil and then we add six to twelve tea bags (depending on how strong you like to drink your tea) and we let that steep. While we're waiting for that we put four or five heaping serving spoons of sugar to our pitcher, and once our tea is done seeping, we pour the concentrate into the pitcher. We want it to be half concentrate and half water, but we stir the sugar into the concentrate until it's dissolved first.

Then we drink it cold. ::))

Interesting. I might try making that, but with brown sugar. I find it gives a more full-bodied flavour than white.

I've never used brown sugar before! It may take less sugar if you use brown though. I'm tempted to go buy some brown sugar.
