I usually buy new things right away but I haven't been able to participate as I'd like the next few times so now I'm scrambling. But I'll get them this time around. I think.

For me the lights from outside were a bit annoying but as long as you have good curtains, that's not much of an issue. Also I know its weird but there have been a few rural areas that i've lived in where I feel less safe outside at night than I did in a city.
I know right!
I've felt in danger quite a few times in a city but somehow the nothingness of the countryside can also be very unsettling. Like, anyone could be hiding anywhere, especially since we had quite a few robberies. And lots of drunk driving. Also people hunting.

I live right next to the train tracks lol. Just outside the train/bus terminal.
I’m glad I have dark blue blinds. Even in the middle of the day, my room is pretty dark.

One of the creepiest places I've ever been at night is on top of a hill in the countryside that had windmills. The windmills all have this flashing red light on them to warn low private planes that they are there and very often they all light up at once. Basically every 20 seconds the entire field would turn red and then go back to complete darkness.

yeah it was creepy even in the car. your lights never adjust to full darkness because of the flash of red.

yeah like your eyes have to slowly adjust to lights in the dark. which is why they say that you shouldn't be using any devices a few hours before bed to let your mind and eyes adjust.

Exactly so the flash of red and then return to complete darkness basically makes you blind.
