It was kinda funny.

And they squeak!
Ricky had never uttered any sound, but now I hear them squeaking!
At least one of them, not sure which one, when they are fooling around they do this sound which is almost like chirping.

It's so heartwarming when a cat that never purrs does so all of a sudden. It's like the ultimate compliment.

Also animals getting excited and trying to talk to each other is 10/10. It reminds me of that one zoo that was trying to keep their animals entertained during covid, so they brought the sloths to go see other exhibits. The sloths and the dolphins got on like a house on fire and wouldn't stop chirping at each other.

Gerbils aparently do noises to communicate between them, so Ricky being alone did not have any reason to squeak.
Also because it often means they are annoyed - and I did not annoy him the way Peque does!
The little one is so pushy! I suppose that's because he's a baby, he'll learn as he grows :mccute:


Sloths and dolphins!
I would have never thought those two could get along!

Yeah, the dolphins were even turning upside down to copy the hanging sloths. Like "look I'm you!". It was so adorable.

Animals are extremely cute.

I don't like zoos though.
While they caretakers do a great job and treat the animals very well, it feels kinda sad having animals so stranded from their natural habitats just for our pleasure.

And, strange enough, aquariums do not make me feel that sad about it.
I suppose they should be just as sad, but I probably don't empathize as much as I do with mammals.

I remember feeding dolphins and one swam up to me for food and I was out 8,u
I felt so bad xD

In a show or something like that?


Here bottlenose dophins are fairly common.
If you travel by boat it's not uncommon seeing them because they don't mind getting near boats. I don't use the boats much and I've seen them a few times.
But they never get THAT close, and nobody carries fishes to give them anyway...

Yeah, we went to Sea World, which I don't think is a good place from what I've heard.
I bought some little fishes to feed to the dolphins.
That one swam up to me and I had no fish left and I felt bad 8,u

I think I've been on a boat once u8

I don't travel by boat much, but I live by the sea so it's not that rare.
I mean, if you want to go to the island (which is a nice place to spend the day) you must go by boat.
We even went by boat to the other side of the sea inlet, when my parents were spending their holidays there, but now that boat regular line does not exist anymore :|
