I think how you present yoursel in society is important. Specially for companies which want to have an specific image.
In my job it's not relevant, and teachers usually wear quite casual clothes - we are surrounded by teenagers, I guess something should stick

I mean, my jeans and T-shirt are nothing out of the ordinary.
But I would not wear revealing clothes to class, for example. They would not portray the image expected of an educative center.
So I get that oher companies have certain expectations, but I think some of them are extremely outdated.
Women don't need make up or high heels to look professional. And, conversely, we can be professional with high heels and colorful make up.
Body tattoos do not make much of a difference imho, but I guess full face tattoos might impress some clients - so it might not the best choice for a person dealing with elders, for example.
