They are very expensive indeed, but I've always wondered whether they are actually worth it for most players.
If you play very heavy-graphics games I guess you really need specific stuff, but do regular players really notice the difference between a good "normal" PC and a gaming PC?

Honestly asking, no idea, never tried one.

i'm not sure myself, i'm not a gamer either. xD i dunno if i'd even notice a difference tbh, a computer is a computer. xD;; all i really do online is to read or go on these avatar community sites to chat with ppl. XD

Let me put it like this.
I play the game Dead by Daylight and it's very clear how badly it runs on my PC.
It lags and freezes and is very gross.
Meanwhile, people I watch play it on gaming PCs - it's beautiful.
It runs smooth and not janky like mine does.

But how good is your PC?
I mean, if you got a good brand new PC (even if it's not built for gaming) the game would still run badly?

Because most of us have pretty basic PCs, and usually not updated to the latest versions of chips and stuff.
So I don't know whether the issue is that they are too basic, and sometimes too old, or simply they were not built for gaming and even new ones would lag like crazy.

Yeah, it would run badly because if the PC isn't built to run it - it will have issues running it.
Like mine's not made to run it, but it runs it okay.
All my settings are very low and it doesn't look as good and it's still freezy, laggy and janky.
I don't want to keep playing like that - it hinders me.

Imagine chasing someone and your game just stutters constantly.
Can't catch up to them, can't see where they went, lose the chase, waste all your time game over.

Imagine running from the Killer and not being able to get away because of the constant freezing and lagging.
It's not fluid and smooth - its coarse and rough.
I want to play on a PC where it's fluid and smooth.

That's interesting indeed.
I used to think that the main difference between gaming PCs and regular ones was the graphic card, but I guess it no longer is that way.

If it makes such an impact I guess it's a good idea saving up for a gaming PC, but as far as I know they are expensive af.

Yeah they’re like double or triple the price of a laptop lol. When I was looking at laptops a few years ago, the price diff was ridiculous.

I'm so happy too because I reached the highest grade in the game today.
I've never been that high in rank xD
Unfortunately, it will reset on the 13th and I'll be back at the bottom rank.
