I guess it's not hating loud sounds VS liking loud sounds.
I think it's more about hating loud sounds VS not being bothered by them.

I also hate loud sounds. Noises in general.
I like quietness. :qstar:

I'm used to trying to be as quiet as possible.
I try to make as little noise as possible.
Unfortunately, my family doesn't care how much noise they make Bu
And any time they do something that irritates me, they tell me to get over it.

But they probably don't like noise. It's just that they don't care. Or don't notice it.
So your complains seem silly to them - how can you be bothered by something that is hardly noticeable?

My husband likes quiet too. So does my son.
I'm happy they are like this, this is quite a tranquil household :qc:

I'm pretty sure I have something called Misophonia 8u
Misophonia may cause a reaction to sounds such as dripping water, chewing, snapping gum, or repetitive noises, such as pencil tapping.
People with misophonia can become irritated, enraged, or even panicked when they hear their trigger sounds.

I get irritated by certain sounds.
No, not irritated - violently angry xD
Asking people to not make those sounds around me is completely out of the question.
I can't help it, There's the sound and just instant rage. There's no build up. The longer they do it, the angrier I get.
They even do it on purpose because they know it pisses me off.
Apparently it's funny to them.

I absolutely loathe those tippex tape things.
I wonder how people does not notice them annoying scratchy noise they make...

It does irritate me. But no rage though.
I don't get violent at all, I'm just very annoyed and uncomfortable.

Some noises can be terribly annoying >_> I don't have misophonia thankfully (or at least I think so? I mean I could kill someone who drags nails over a black board but everyone would too, no? XD), but when someone snores next to me in an irregular way, I very seriously consider burying them under a cushion and pressing it onto their face... just a little :mcmeh: lmao

Yeah, that's akin to my feeling when someone snaps their fingers or claps u8
I want to take a hammer and crush their hands >>
I wouldn't do that but I REALLY want to <<

I just want to run away. Or hide. That's pretty much all.
I guess I'm less combative xD

That's what they call the fight-or-fly instict, isn't it?
I guess you are more like fighting, and I'm more like flying.
