My grandpa died 13 years ago yesterday.
He died the day after my birthday in 2008.

I can understand going to the cemetery and taking care of the graves.
You don't want them to get overgrown and have anything happen.
My mom and aunt go often to add new flowers and maybe trim the weeds and add any killer if there's ant piles and stuff.

Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

I have a hard time going to the cemetery where my paternal grandparents are. I was very close with my paternal grandma, and she passed when I was very young, so she never got to see the person I am now.

Hard time in what way? Physically or mentally?

My family is in different cemeteries.
The one I used to go to most was by the highway.
Highways make me paranoid so it's another reason I don't like going.

My grandpa on my dad's side is buried in a small cemetery.
When my grandma died, she was cremated but my dad sprinkled her ashes on the grave.
He told me that a long time ago, it flooded and bodies came out the ground .__.

Mentally. I feel my feelings very intensely, both positive and negative.

My grandma's side of the family has a family cemetery way out in West Virginia. I found this out through doing my own research into family tree stuff.

I really like the top you're wearing Amura, which one is it? O:

And lots of cemetary talk. I cannot remember when I visited one the last time... Actually, I've been to a few funerals, but family members and friends... I think many didn't pick a burial. And the ones who were burried, I never visit the grave. I prefer remembering people how they were and taking care of a spot wouldn't be my way.

I do love that where I live, they do have the november 1st tradition, everyone really tends the graves and light a light then. Pretty sight.

Here people prefer flowers on the graves. Fresh flowers.
You go to the cemetery a few days earlier for some deep cleaning, then you bring fresh flower.
And a few days later you remove the wilted flowers.

It's nice, I suppose, but I can't get to really care for that kind of details.

It's the Princess Xin Robe.

It must be different for everyone, but it feels like a burden? I'm sure some people love a pretty, quiet place to remember... Dunno, I kinda feel that any place would do really. Maybe it's more the moment? I don't really think about my grandparents that often, it's been almost 20 years since they passed away...

I think it's fresh flowers here as well? But I believe there's also appearing more & more plastic, 'cause... moving away further, just impossible to keep it pretty for a month... :qhehe:

My grandpa died only a year ago, I haven't even made up my mind that he is no longer with us.

That cemetery mostly brings me memories of my cousin, who died at a very young age. He's the first person I knew who was buried in the family vault.
Then were my great-grandparents, but their age made it easier to assume I guess.

We put fake flowers xD;
I did buy a real rose and placed it on a friend's grave when I was going through my religious breakdown.
She died when she was still a kid because I think she only had one functioning lung.
She wasn't even supposed to live as long as she did.
Her dad died some years back and me and my mom went to his little pre-funeral thing.
There was SOOO many people there.
This man meant a lot to so many people.
It was really amazing to see that.
I think he was cremated and his ashes were sprinkled on my friend's grave.

I don't even know if I want to be buried. My mom and aunt bought me a plot without even asking Bu
Like wow I can't even decide what I want done with my body.
I see how much my opinion matters >Bu

I wasn't there, but I remember my mom taking my sister to sign someone's book at a funeral home when my sister was still very young.
My sister turned to a blank space and said hi to a dead family member she had never met.
I don't even think I ever met them .___.

I don't care much what happens to my body after I'm dead. When you're dead your body is meaningless.
I'm not religious, but even if I were I would not care about the body.

I've signed up as an organ donor though.
Which means that if my organs can be used in any way, I hope they do.
