Oh, I 100% know what soda does to teeth. I've seen a lot of dentists and they've all told me how bad soda is xD
I'm still going to drink soda 8u
I don't get a lot of nice things in life, I refuse to lose soda uB<
I've cut back to just drinking one.

I have good memories of going out to eat with my parents.
We used to go to this one Mexican restaurant and they had this...lego table that I'd play with and I'd also dance in front of people apparently ._.
They closed the place late last year, I think :\

Then there was this breakfast place we went to and my parents always ordered coffee and I LOVED putting creamer in it for them.
I don't know why, but that was so exciting to me.

I think the bad thing about soda is that you don't wash your teeth after drinking, we are only used to washing them after eating. If you washed them afterwards soda would be as safe for your teeth as anything else, but that would be a pain in the ass.

Isn't there any sugar-free soda you like?

Oh, a restaurant with a lego table! My son would love that!

I don't have good memories with my parents, in general.
I don't have terrible ones either, they just did not do anything with me.
I hope I can do better than that with my son :mccute:

It's not just soda either - it's anything with sugar.
Sipping is worse because you just steadily keep applying a layer of sugar over your teeth.
That's what one told me.
Nope 8u

They got rid of the table after a while. Not sure why. Maybe germs u8?
I'd always play with it every time we went, though xD

I have some good memories, but it seems like I remember bad ones more.
People have told me stuff that I just completely don't remember.
Even my childhood - I don't remember most of it.
I have a few memories here and there, some very detailed, but not a lot of them...
I remember my mom used to watch anime with me and at some point, I told her she was the coolest mom ever.
She mentioned me saying that not long ago and I told her I didn't remember saying that.
That really made her sad :\

I have a lot of my memories missing and my short term memory...sucks.
If I forget people and things, I hope no one takes it personally...
I don't forget stuff on purpose xD
Sometimes I do stuff and five seconds later, I don't remember it.
Like if I take my medication - I have to reach into my drawer, take it out, open the bottles, swallow them, close the bottles, and put them back in the drawer. Not long after, I won't remember if I took them or not.

I guess that Lego pieces handled by little hands after or during dinner might get gross quite quickly.
But nothing that warm water and a bottle of soap can't solve :D

Everybody remembers different things, we just focus on some part of the whole story.
Surely your mom remembers that because it meant a world to her. Sweetest thing coming from her daughter.
And for you it was just a natural thing to say, to which you probably did not give any importance.

But forgetting about whether you take your medication seems a bit hazardous.
Like, well, you need to make sure you don't take double the dose by mistake.

Before dinner, during dinner, after dinner 8u
I think I play during dinner xD;

Yeah, I think so. I felt bad that I told her that I didn't remember and made her sad.

I tend to remember more bad things than good. I don't know why and I wish I wasn't like that...but it's kinda like having scars...They don't disappear once you get them u8

Yeah, I really need to get a weekly medicine container.
My dad takes the same medicine I do and he took double what he was supposed to and he was completely out of it xD
I take 100 mg of it and so does he so he took 200 mg and 100 mg is enough to knock an adult out 8u

I think those containers are quite cheap, so yeah, it probably would not hurt getting one.
Or maybe just writing a checklist and checking it each day you take it. But then you would need to ensure you remember checking.

What I do with my medication is taking it right after I wake up, even before I leave the bed.
There is the risk I may forget it, but in my case it would not be a big issue.

Lego tables are the best! But yeah, often restaurants just throw some toys in a corner and forget to look at it, 'cause they don't actually play with it themselves. Always quite sad to see a kid corner which was once cute, but now stuffed with dirty, broken things. But lego is apparently very washable, throw it in a net and in the washing machine, it should work. Well, I'd leave out the super tiny stuff, but it should work they say. I never really tried it though. :mcheh:

We were at a hotel last year where they had an entire playroom. It was a HUGE mess, but my kids still loved playing there. It hurt my eyes, so we put everything away that evening. The kids got a card game as a gift from the owner for cleaning up so nicely. Lol, at least, that's what they told them. She said that usually kids made a mess but after a while got tired of it and cleaned up themselves. I wonder what kids go there... I think all kids would need someone to come up with the idea to clean up, 'cause by themselves? I don't believe that.

Quiet babies, yeah, the first was super quiet. We used to leave him in his car seat and he'd just look around when we were eating. Those were the good times. Then #2 came, ah. That was different. He made sure we did not forget about him. D:

My eldest is 10, but we still don't have smartphone's or tablets. Correction, we have one tablet I sometimes use for reading, but that's about it. I got it for home schooling and we had just one pc, it was easier if they could both make their school work at the same time.

Disadvantage, my kids both cannot really type. But I think they'll learn that soon enough when needed, it was just... suddenly needed. >.> But I just don't want to get them out of their tree house to practise typing, like... Priorities. D:

A few weeks ago we decided to visit a friend - first time visiting someone since the pandemic started!

His son is younger than ours, and we usually meet in parks where they can play. Then we used to go out to this Italian restaurant which has a room for eating AND playing. There are only six tables or so, and families with kids prefer sitting there - you don't mind my kids running around, I won't mind yours, we are all in the same boat.
It even has a door which I've always seen open, but if the kids are in a very noisy mood you may close it - and let the kids be kids.
It's nice.

But because of the current regulation, it was closed.
We had to eat in the "normal" tables, which was ok (it's quite family friendly anyway) but not nearly as cool.

I love it when the weather is good, usually the terrace is quite nice, but ever since we have 3, we do go out, but I often am also like... Just come by at our house. We'll throw something on the BBQ, I make a quick salad, throw a bag of fries in the oven, make some herb butter and bake a bread. It's like... 20 minutes and there's plenty of food for all. :) Plus we have the space in the garden, dunno. Just a good place to be. :)

My favourite place is nearby a pretty forest, they usually have a spot, no place to play inside, but a large playground outside. It's kinda, old, but still good enough.

Amura: I had one for a while. So long, the days of the weak got scratched off xD

With my medicine, since it helps me sleep I need to take it at night.
It also takes a while to kick in.
If it worked in like 15-30 minutes, I'd take it before getting into bed.

Jolien: Yeah, I don't remember if I cleaned up after myself as a kid xD;
My sister is 14, almost 15, and she needs to be told to clean up her messes >>

This is kinda random but since a play room was mentioned...
The hospital that my mom, my sister, and myself were born at is almost completely gone.
They've been demolishing it over the year and it's sad.
I've been there quite a few times in my life - one time was when my besties and I went there on Valentine's Day to hand out candy to patients.
The top level was for kids and it was so cool-looking.
I'm sad it's gone xD
