@Mem: Well, I couldn't exactly walk so ... XD (OK I could have if I had really wanted to but I didn't want to risk it alone and the husband couldn't exactly take time off to take his possibly sick with covid wife to the hospital.)
That and at the time the official guidelines were "please wait before you've experienced three days of high fever and symptoms before going to the hospital and please call before you do" (because at the time the law said you have to get hospitalized whatever your symptoms if you test positive)
In the end when I woke up on the third day all I had left was general fatigue, slept it off and was back to normal at the end of the day. That was pretty weird. Though to be fair, for me it really did feel like the flu, just ten times worse than usual
Also, the friend who got it at the same time as me did go to the hospital only to be told it was an allergy so ...

I still am worried about my mom though, she's living alone and while she's doing her best the lockdowns have been wearing her down.
