Been there done that. All we get is: "That's borrring!" So that's one reason why she's seeing a behavior specialist.

Throws fits. Dad had suffered a brain aneurysm about two years ago, but certain sounds hurt his head. And when she gets upset she does a high pitch scream and it hurts him. We don't want him in the hospital again.

maybe she can hit pillows instead. Hitting pillows can also help. Pillows make no sound and you can't damage them. At least I never did

Nope. She'd rather yell. I have little control over her, that's also why she's seeing a specialist.
