Wow, never thought of that, but same, would love to find out the history of fan fiction

That is something I've never thought about. I wonder how they would have shared it. Or if they kept it to themselves. Maybe they threw little parties to share their work.

Maybe they had clubs and read their works outloud :D

That would be the best. Already when I hear about the Shelleys and their friends all going on writing holidays together it makes me so happy. Now to imagine them reading out their fanfics to one another as well... :D

'Comics and Sequential Art', 'Understanding Comics', 'The Contract With God Trilogy' and 'Maus' are required readings, 'Reinventing Comics' is a book I wanted to read for a while

we're also required to read 'Market Day' and 'The Golem's Mighty Swing' by James Sturm but I don't own these and couldn't find them cheap so idk if I'll get my hands on them at all

initially there were two more comics on the list: 'We Are On Our Own' by Miriam Katin and 'The Jew of New York' by Ben Katchor, but the prof had to cut them because of an emergency remote teaching situation. at least I assume it's because of that. it might also be because the 6 comics would cost students around 100€ total

at least with this course, I'm likely to read something this year XD

None of these works seems familiar, but I don't have any knowledge in this field, unfortunately.

I am 250 pages into "It" and I think it's pretty cool so far :)
They made two movies, one when they are children and one with adults (right?). In the book these two narratives are intertwined kinda, so there is a part when they were young, one when they are old and so one.

Maus was popular when I was in high school. I remember seeing a lot of people reading it. I never read it though.

I got half left in my 6th book, The Infernal Battalion by Django Wexler. I read almost to the halfway point in 4 days, then put it down for all of last week because I was working on my cross stitching project. Now I'm determined to finish it this week since I really want to know how it ends since this is a final book and everything hit the fan in the last book.
