Question #14: Would you rather be extremely successful professionally and have a tolerable yet unexciting private life, or have an extremely happy private life and only a tolerable and uninspiring professional life?

I don't really like the wording of this question. I think he should have asked if you would rather have a good job and just an ok personal life or if you would rather have a good personal life and just an ok job. I don't think he should have tried to describe it because "unexciting personal life" sounds ideal to me! But either way, I don't really care about my professional life. I actually don't even have a professional life. It would be nice to have more money coming in, but I could do that with the tolerable/just ok job.

I actually also prefer a happy private life with just a fine job. I don't see myself giving my absolute all to any job, since it won't satisfy me in the slightest.

If my job would be really crucial, if it would actually matter a lot for many people, like a doctor, firefighter, scientist and so on, I think I might actually think the other way. But since it's not, I don't care.

God that's a hard decision these days.. in the past I would have without hesitation said private life.. but now things are a little different, I don't have EVERYTHING on the line anymore.
I still think I might choose a happier private life.. probably..

Mmmmm.
Professional life lasts until you retire.
Private life is until you die.

I choose private life.

I think I would prefere an exciting job. I know I'm against nature here, but we do spend an awful amount of our lives at the workplace or comuting to it, might as well be excited about it.
