I agree, but those are the rules *shrug*
Although I would be annoyed as well if I was told I had paid for something that wasn't the latest version. I would rather deal with it by acknowledging the mistake and showing the correction, so they can see they have a really competent teacher (and then come back to me for their next lesson so I can make more money haha).
I'm going to apply to edit and make new slideshows when I get a chance so I can correct as many as possible.

How odd those rules seem... I hope they allow you to correct things!

That is just a dumb rule. You are there to teach, not to cover mistakes. :}

Foxes are clever, perceptive, and shrewd. You're happiest working behind the scenes, pulling strings and watching others dance to your imperceptible tune. Independent yet highly social, you glide among your circles of acquaintance with ease, sharing your sharp wit or a delicious piece of gossip.

So I just finished "The Burning Page" by Genevieve Cogman and I had great fun with it. It was so nice to pick up something I'd consider an Urban Fantasy -that wasn't written in 1st person!
Grant you I am in a place ready to be pleased, so I was NOT reading critically, but I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. :qh:

I think it's mostly a cultural thing. Like they're trained to believe in China that authority is everything, the company can't be wrong. If they began to doubt that it would be bad for their reputation.

I see those books a lot around lately. in stores and on goodreads. and of course reviews that say Cogman is overhyped. it's nice to have a different perspective

I'd never heard of them before, they were just there in the library on a to-be-shelved rack.

I also got from that same rack "The Player of Games" by Ian M Banks, "Baltimore; or, The Steadfast Tin Soldier and the Vampire" by Mike Mignola and Christopher Golden, "A Dance of Cloaks" and "A Dance of Mirrors" by David Dalglish, "Five Dead Canaries" by Edward Marston, and "Island of the Mad", by Laurie R King.

I only recognized the very last book on that list, which is by an author I follow (although not in a serious-fan way; more that I always check out her books when I see them and own them, eventually, when they float through the used book store in town).

So there are a bunch that I'll be randomly going through.

It was just such a nice change of pace to read a book that wasn't a textbook, wasn't something so very familiar from multiple rereads, and wasn't in first person! Also that wasn't terrible, or with egregious grammar errors. And it is definitely that.

Nothing worse than grammatical errors....

jacob, I think it's a good idea that you might apply for correcting the error in the slides :)

Finished "Player of Games" now, and also "The Lost Plot" (also by Genevieve Cogman), and of course I had to stop and reread the Enchanted Forest Chronicles because they came up in conversation with somebody on here.
And I'm so glad I had time to read like that yesterday, because I was starting to feel emotionally shaky and reading usually re-centers me. There's a lot of emotion in my family right now and many of them are visiting so there's no buffer. They all come cry at me and it can be very tiring. I needed yesterday.
