I think that paper I have to write needs to be 30 pages long. The book I am reading is an etymological dictionary for Swedish. So far I've just read the introduction, which was probably the hardest part. Now I have to read through the words and find out which ones are actually German loan words and note them down. That should be the easiest part of the proces actually, but let's see..

I took a break until now (organized my desk, cooked & ate), going to get back at it now.

It's actually not really the problems I have but the things going on around me and my uselessness towards these things. I cannot seem to help anybody and the people around me are hurting, I just cannot do anything about it except offer them to call me anytime whenever they are ready to talk. On the other hand I feel totally alone, but I know I am not. There are so many lovely people around me, but it seems not enough. I would love to spend each and every full day with them, but that's not possible because they have a life and I do, too actually, at the moment I just wish I could push a "pause" button for problems and just enjoy the positive things with my friends for a while. But as I said, I don't want to bother anybody. It is also nothing serious at all, except me feeling lonely basically. It even got to that pathetic point where I check my messages all the time, hoping somebody wants to meet me. At the same time I know I need to work on my paper so spending time with somebody makes me feel guilty. Urgh.

Yay for getting through the introduction then! Finding the german loan words sounds actually kind of fun :)

I do hope you'll feel better soon, but consider the offer standing :)
Hm, it's hard when you want to help but there's just nothing you can do or you don't know what you could do. It sucks.
A pause button that lets you just spend some time having fun with friends while all the other things in the world are on hold would be great. I'd love that, too!

It would be awesome! Just spending some free time without having a bad conscience because you should be taking care of other stuff would be grand already. Which is kind of what I get to do soon, because I'll kick off some experiments and while they run I just sit in front of my pc and keep an eye on them, but I feel justified in doing something relaxing on the side. No going off and meeting people though, that wouldn't be possible.

Oy. I'm a tired potato. More like worn out. Been busy. Luckily right now everything is quiet so I've been able to get some Disney sketches going.

I worked real late last night so I've spent the day recovering. lol.

I don't blame you. My dad was lucky today. He found a gentleman selling a dryer and for $20 extra he'd relieved it, so we got it. And only spent $120. It's just a temporary because it's more expensive to go down the street to the laundromat every week to two weeks.

120 for a dryer don't seem bad.

Have y'all thought about hanging laundry up to dry? You'd have to use fabric softener when you wash but I bet it would save a lot of money in the long run.

I never use the dryer to be honest. Even in winter. But I hang my laundry in my room (#studentlife), which is probably not the best idea, but better than using the dryer imo. :)
