I am not very technical, so I might not be saying this quite right. But there is a pinterest button that you can add to your bar on top of your screen. So then, when you want to pin something, you can press it or just hover over pictures and then a pin button will appear. The only site that I've found that doesn't let you take pins directly from it is facebook. But you can click "open image in new tab," and then you can pin it from there.

Regarding the branches of linguistics I prefer semantics. I like lexikology and lexikography.
I am very interested in learning more about forensic linguistics.
Apparantly I am good at corpus linguistics (but isn't that much fun for me personally actually ).
Going to have a class about graphematics. Reeeaally looking forward to that.
Loanwords are super interesting to me as well.

In general I'd say I am definitely into diachronic and applied linguistics.

I am not really sure about computer linguistics. I am afraid that is linked to corpus linguistics and I am not that much into it. Maybe has to do with that one project I had last year which was super time consuming, but was worth the grade in the end :D
I think digital humanities would be fun & interesting, especially as I studied Anthropology before, but I dunno, never got around doing something in that field.

I have friends doing their bachelor's in digital humanities (we have that course at my uni, too lol). They seem to like it, especially because it has something to do with computers without the math :D

Most of the people I know who studied English with me were not into linguistics at all, they saw it as a burden. Most of them like cultural studies or literary studies. Those who liked linguistics were usually into synchronic linguistics, not the historical one, sooo yea :D I am all by myself there xD

I think nobody I know from my English courses continued to study with their master's. But some of them are studying to become a teacher, so that is different anyway.

Exactly! I guess because literary studies is easier? I dunno... I mean not technically easier, just different, but ... not really scientific.
