ERMERGERD. I love this movie so much.
It's basically a monster romance drama kind of thing? It's really hard to explain.
It's definitely earned it's R rating, starts right off the bat. If you are embarrassed by anything sexual this is not the movie for you. It's not super graphic but you know what's going on.
I love that it centers around a mute woman who uses American Sign Language to communicate. Though I do find it weird that the people talking to her know ASL but they don't use it too? I guess they wouldn't need to since she's hearing but it's just weird to me. lol.
So, love it, hate it? Let's talk about it.

I loooove it too. So good.
I actually got to see Doug Jones (the Asset) at a comic convention last month. It was amazing!
What was your favorite part?

I was wondering how realistic it is, because it doesn't sound very realistic.
*Trots off to see what it is about.*

Well... It's about a fish person. So there's that. But if you can get past that sci-fi/fantasy part then the rest is pretty realistic I feel.

I like it a lot but fish sex kinda icks me out. Doug jones did a phenominal job on being the fish man though.

I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I see you every Tuesday. I will love you as the starfish loves a coral reef and as kudzu loves trees, even if the oceans turn to sawdust and the trees fall in the forest without anyone around to hear them. I will love you as the pesto loves the fettuccini and ats the horseradish loves the miyagi, and the pepperoni loves the pizza.

MILD SPOILERS AHEAD
I was into the fish man sex! lol. But to each their own.
I think it was more about the romance than the actual sex, but I'm very glad that they included the sex scene.
Women with disabilities are so often completely desexed in media and it bugs the hell out of me. I liked seeing a woman with a disability that was also a sexual being. It's very nice for me as someone who has a bunch of disabilities.

I'm too squeamish to actually watch it, but I think it looks really good, so I plan on reading the book!

Squeamish? About what? Sex or violence? Or both?
I just recently finished the book. It's really good too. It is a bit different than the movie and it goes into more detail about things. I like that part a lot.

Both. I can read pretty much anything, but I can't watch most rated R things.
