Julia nodded, giggling when she saw the confetti. It turned into laughter as the chocolate frog nested in his hair,"Awww it's so cute!" She said,"I always feel bad eating them since they seem so lively, even if it's just by magic." She started to go through gifts for her, seeing Aren's gift,"I think he was to ing everyone chocolate frogs." She said

"He always gives everyone chocolate frogs. Every now and then, he'll add in a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans." Caelum spoke as he stuffed a chocolate frog (not the one on his head)into his mouth and took out the pentagonal card added into the frog's box. "Hmm ... another Albus Dumbledore card. Oh well."

He moved to opening the rest of the prank gifts, easily knowing which ones they were, and made no move to avoid the pranks enchanted to leave the box. By the end of it all, his stack of gifts was reduced by more than half and he was now drowning in even more confetti and was sporting a Barbie pink manicure, and the frog on his head now had Spectrespecs on.

His eyes landed on the remaining gifts. Two from his parents and one from Aunt Amelie. And finally, the one given by Julia. He opened the gift from his Aunt, revealing a pair of dragon hide gloves for potions making before taking the gifts sent by his parents and unwrapped both, revealing a new dark emerald cloak and, surprisingly, at a jet-black Nimbus 2350. He stared at the broom in awe, the Nimbus Company's latest model which was set to be released January 1st of the next year. His mind drifted off to his ban from the Quidditch Field which led to him flying very often at home. "My parents are brilliant!" He exclaimed, showing the broom to Julia. "They knew about how I was banned from flying in the field ... during school days."

Him mentioning being banned reminded Julia of something,"Thanks for reminding me!" She said, pulling out a letter she had gotten from the headmaster. She handed it to him. When he read it, it said:

"Dear. Mr. Malfoy,

Your ban from flying in the Quidditch Pitch has been canceled. Ms. Potter had come to me to talk about it. She explained the situation and after recovering the accounts from witnesses of the event and going through them, we realized the wrong student had been punished. I offer my deepest apologies for such a mix up and I will send notice to all teachers that the ban has been lifted.

- The Headmaster"

Caelum's eyes widened in amazement as he shifted from staring between the letter and Julia. His lips widened in a gasp slowly edged its was to a smile then progressively to a grin as he launched himself at the Ravenclaw, hugging her extremely tightly as he continuously thanked her. "I can't believe you actually did this!" he exclaimed in partial disbelief and excitement as he held onto both sides of her face and kissed her forehead. "Thank you." He said once again with great sincerity in his voice as he turned to look back at the letter, then at his new broom, and then at Julia.

"If I didn't know better, I'd have thought that you conspired with my mum about this, with the new broom and all." He sent her a dashing grin before suggesting "What do you say about opening the present we gave each other at the field and a friendly race right after?"

Julia giggled, hugging him back gently,"I meant to give this to you sooner, but with Chirstmas coming, I forgot until you mentioned the ban. Before the holiday I went to speak to the headmaster and asked him to please reconsider. He pulled out the file on the incident and called me in later to tell me he would lift the ban. I watched him write this note and he asked me to deliver it to you. Sorry it's so late."

Her smile fell when he mentioned a race,"I don't have a broom anymore." She said,"Mine broke over the summer and since I was focusing on lessons I didn't bother with replacing it. But we can still go so you can try your new broom."

"Then you'll just have to ride with me." Caelum winked before taking her hand and dragging her to the Quidditch Field, slowing every now and then to re-familiarize himself with the hallways that led to it.

Once there, the two were met with a land of snow. White covered most of the bleachers and only the banners flapping in the wind kept their original colors, unstained by the snow. The field was blanketed in white and some the rings on both sides supported owls that wandered the area.

Casting a heating charm on both their cloaks, Caelum smirked as he looked to Julia. "Come on." He said, pocketing the unopened gift he received from Julia before mounting the broom and hovering a few meters from the air. He extended a hand, waiting for her to accept.

Julia smiled and let him lead the way after putting unopened gifts in her bag. When they got to the pitch and he got on his broom, she gently took his hand and got on carefully, gently wrapping her arms around his waist,"Ready~c

They took off into the cold Christmas air with a fluidity that only Malfoy's seem to have when they were flying in the sky. Caelum stopped the broom as they were high up in the air in the middle of the Quidditch field and looked at the snow-filled land below them. The sun reflected off the snow in faint rainbows and the sea of white below them looked like a blank sparkling canvas with bits of nature here and there. He looked towards the castle and grinned.

"Hang on tight!" he told Julia before launching the broom to fly around the castle. Owls flew beside them, as did some other strange winter creatures. He headed for the owlery and soon passed it to give a brilliant view of the border between Hogwarts and the Forbidden Forest and the groundskeeper's hut made for a great marker as to where the forbidden part of the forest really started. Flying slower, they could see the roof of the west wing and the entrance hall and a bit of the lake before he steered the broom and descended into the courtyard.

Hopping off of the broom, Caelum grinned. "Never thought I'd be able to see that again."

"I never thought that I'd be able to see that again either." Said Albus Dumbledore's ghost.

Julia smiled, holding on gently. She looked around in amazement. When they finally landed she smiled at him,"That was amazing," She said, "I forgot how wonderful a flyer you were." She looked around the stands,"I haven't been here in a while myself..." She murmured, just now realizing that,"Not since the incident that gave me those scars..."

Caelum's smile slowly disappeared from his lips as his eyebrows curved in worry. He encircled his arms around the Ravenclaw and whispered "I'm sorry." He held her for a while before deciding. "Let's get out of this place. It's getting cold anyway." He led her by the hand back into the school and started leading the way towards the entrance hall and went down the stairs. They ended up in a stone corridor filled with paintings of food and Caelum went straight to a painting of a bowl of fruit. He raised a hand to tickle the pear which giggled and turned into a door handle. He looked to Julia with a knowing smirk and pushed the door open revealing the Hogwarts kitchens.

A few house elves noticed their arrival and immediately went to cater them. "Something warm, please. Preferably soup."
