I'm not a parent and I don't plan to be one, so I have a question or two for parents.
When I was at the store, I saw a little girl trying to climb on top of one of those mechanic horses that you stick coins into.
Well, she was really little and I was worried she'd fall off and get hurt.
I didn't see her parents around, but I was too afraid to say anything to her.
She managed to climb up and she was perfectly fine.
We also have new neighbors and their smallest child was climbing on our fence.
Well, our fence has spikes on them, so I told his brother "Hey! Don't let him climb on that fence!" The brother ran to him and got him down and thanked me.
I don't give a damn about the fence and I don't feel offended, I just didn't want him to get hurt.
I'm the type of person that loves helping people.
So if I see people in need of help, I try to help.
Sometimes I'm too scared to an sometimes it may take a couple minutes to psyche myself up.
But I love helping people and making them happy.
However, I know some parents don't like people talking to their kids or helping them or giving advice.
So when it comes to kids, I never know if I should act or not.
And I feel bad having to scold kids, even if I'm babysitting and I have permission to scold them if they do something wrong.
As a parent, how do you feel about strangers trying to help your kid(s)?
Do you mind people scolding your kid(s)? Permission given or not?
