Went on a KofK hiatus for too long, so this is the first time I'm doing it.

I can't remember, to be honest.
Maybe she just updated the graphics?

I have ten whole donuts now, pfff.

      I just realized that "take out" means food, dating, and murder. And if you were a female praying mantis you'd have all three.

      Yeah, I didn't think I was gone for too long until I came back and realized, like.
      It's been a year, haha.

      But it seems fairly active!
      I mean, I was checking out another forum for an online game and boy ..
      It's dead over there.

      At least here it seems like most of the forums have posts in them at some point.
      That makes me happy. (:

          The time I was gone for about a year or longer was because our internet was down and because I had fees on my library card I couldn't go to the library and use their computers. Oh well I'm back and that's all that matters.

          I've definitely dealt with situations like that.
          My mom has never really been able to keep internet in the house.
          Too expensive. So we ended up going to the library for a few hours when we stayed with her.

              I've never been on hiatus. Usually if I end up on hiatus I end up never coming back.

              How expensive is the Internet in the US? Back in France we had unlimited Internet, phone calls and even a good 100 channels included for less than 30$ a month ...
              Japan is expensive as hell but it's included in the monthly utility bills of our appartment so it's not that bad.

              Well ...
              I know for my apartment with my roommate, I think it's about $40-50 for internet alone.
              But I'm also guessing because my roommate pays the internet.
              But my mom lives in a house which is more expensive.
              She'd also have paid for cable, which adds onto the bill.

              My mom, for all her hard work, doesn't have a lot of money.
              Her phone's actually being turned off tonight because she can't pay the bill this month.
              It's like that a lot. Her catching up to bills and such.

              My stepdad's a big factor. He took out a lot of loans he didn't need to,
              so now they're catching up to debt and the bills on top of raising three boys.
              (My sister and I are out of the house and live with my dad, anyway).
              So I don't know how rare her experience with the internet is, tbh.

                  That seems awfully expensive to me.
                  Like, if my mother wouldn't use the TV, she wouldn't see the need to pay for Internet either.
                  But at the very least it's gotten less and less expensive in the last years.

                  Wait, Fran, your internet provider charges you differently depending on wether you live in a house or an apartment? Why??
                  Or did you just mean that living in a house is generally more expensive and has additional costs?
