And we have 540 items in Blue and 366 items in Cyber Yellow, while we only have 20 items in Blush for example. Comparing these numbers, my priority is to add more items of colors we don't have many of so that people can use them better to create avatars.

sorry to be an ass right know BUT blush is maybe 3 month old, right??? So it is no wonder that we only have a few items with it ^^

Blue and Cyber yellow are colors since the beginning (when i´m not mistaken)

for example Mocha is what maybe 2 -3 years old and it has already the double of items as Cyber yellow O.o

you don´t have to use them as an main color, but they could be an awesome second or third color

Cyber yellow has 366 items and Mocha 331 items in the DAC. That's not "double of items as Cyber yellow".
Also, Cyber Yellow is indeed an older color, but we have not started labeling items with colors properly until a few years ago, so there are tons of more colors in Cyber Yellow that just can't be found through the item search yet, such as for example the Adyno Top, Ferla Top, Elroth Cloak, Lotta Scarf, Ilvia Top, Tenee Top, Not So Basic Undershirt, I couldn't even list them all, there are so many of them...

As said, I inlclude colors like Blue or Cyber Yellow in most common Shop Updates and will continue doing so.
I will not really start using them much in other updates like Treasure Trove or Monthly Treasure as they are simply among the less popular colors we have and we depend on as many people as possibly liking such items, because we can't run this site without enough donations. So I can't use a color that's rather unpopular in comparison to other colors for an update that needs to be popular with as many users as possible.

Well, tastes are different
I don't think they go well together not only because of the shades not fiting well, but also because Cyber Yellow and Denim have a very different contrast between main and shadow color.


(Though keep in mind I can always look up what items in what colors were bought in which numbers and Cyber yellow just is not popular with the majority of users, no matter how individual users might feel about it. The decision what colors to use in TT and MT updates is not based on my personal taste, but on what colors items are used and purchased the most often. Otherwise I would not use any yellow shades at all, as I dislike them all , but Gold is rather popular, so I make gold items frequently, even though I personaly don't like them.
The avatar contest results are also a help in seeing which colors and color combinations most people like, though not as relieable as purchases.
You don't need to convince me, I make such decisions based on statistics determined by users. If most users suddenly started liking and purchasing Cyber Yellow items like crazy, I would most certainly consider using such colors more for other updates. Again, repeating myself, I am already including them often in regular shop updates. This is just about Treasure Trove and Monthly Treasure sets where I refuse to use them frequently or as main colors.

I understand your struggles.

But never forget the artist in you, you should also make things you like to see, not the majority.

For me I just want to see you evolving in your arts, and having fun with trying new things, like shapes or colors etc.

I do like people voicing their opinions and I also do like feedback like this. I even wish more people would give me feedback, because when I only get feedback from very few users it is hard for me to tell how most other users would feel about an issue.

Unfortunately I can't really do only things I like for KOfK. With regular updates maybe, but not with the things where the existance of this site depends on so much. That's actually why I really hate making TT and MT items. It's just no fun when you constantly have to try to make something of which you hope that many other people will like it rather than liking it yourself. Or maybe that's phrased wrong. Of course I hope that as many people as possible like any kind of update I make, but with for example regular shop updates, it's not that I have to worry too much if it is something only a few people like.

I completely understand your struggles in determining what to use for the Treasure Trove items, seeing how the site depends on their popularity.
I just wanted to pitch in that solely going by statistics might lead to a further skew in colour popularity - I usually see people liking a colour because there are nice items in it. Like if they already have an item in it they love, they want more of the colour because they can combine the new items with their old loved item. So if you put out a lot in certain colours for a while, a lot of people will start liking it and the colour becomes more popular. The difficult part is probably figuring out when there is enough, when people don't actually really need more in that colour but would rather fall in love with another colour for a change. I do think if you get that moment right, that would help overall sales, since when one gets the feeling that one already has enough in a certain colour, the likelihood of buying a set in it decreases again. At least that's how it is for me - I for example don't feel any strong desire to buy mocha or ecru hairs anymore, even though I like both. I just got a lot of them recently, whereas I really lack some other colours (like cream for example, I'd love a nice hair in cream!).

Back to suggestions:
I'd love to see a nice elegant dress in gray x cream white - I recently got the nidhug fan in that colour combo and noticed that even in the dac I can't really find a dress I really like to go with it.

I'd love to see recolours of the lunar night banshee set! Colourwise, maybe something like cream, silver, gold, lime green, coffee, beige, denim?
