Kayo couldn't find it in himself to open his mouth to say anything, so he just nodded and silently helped Chaos up, supporting him with his own shoulders. He was silent, which was unusual for him. Usually, he was the chatty one, and always had some reaction to what was going on, but this was way too much for him. He didn't trust himself to say anything.

Kira, on the other hand, ran downstairs, rummaged in her bag for a minute and pulled out a small bottle from it. She then ran back upstairs and handed the bottle to Chaos. "Here, drink half of this and give the rest to Ruby," she said. "It will help you get enough of your strength back so you can make the trip to Stein's office easily."

Ruby released Chaos into Kayo's hands, and pressed her lips together briefly. She wanted to say something to her friends..anything.. but nothing came. How could she after her friends had been present during a 'break down'? How could a meditation have gone so wrong? The only one who seemed to know what to do now, was Kira. No amount of apologies could make this any better. Maybe she should leave after all..

Chaos used Kayo as support, after being pulled to his feet. He felt like he had been shattered., but he already knew it was bound to happen. Chaos obediently took the offered bottle, and drank half of it- then handed it to Ruby who drank the rest. Then she got up, and they all went to pay old Prof. Stein a visit.

Kayo was proud of the fact that Kira was more or less taking charge of the situation as much as she could. He smiled at her to show that pride and then turned to Chaos. "Feelin' a little better?" he asked, hoping that the drink helped. Kayo was glad that he and Kira had decided to keep the bottle in case of emergencies like this.

Kira had Ruby to take care of. Once Ruby drank from the bottle, she took it and replaced the stopper, putting it back in her back. She smiled kindly at Ruby, trying to let her know that no one here held her responsible for anything. Whatever this was, she was sure that Ruby couldn't control it. That much, she knew about her friend.

Chaos smirked at Kayo when he finally spoke, but he still needed a prop or he'd be laid out. Probably. "I'll make it." He mused quietly with a cocky smirk. Chaos glanced at Kayo, then set his eyes on the dirt path leading to the woods, towards Stein's creepy place. "How're you holding up?" He asked in a lowered voice.

Ruby almost entirely averted the gaze of her friends as they traveled to see the professor. Despite Kira's attempt to make her feel better, she didn't know how to feel at the moment. Every time she had an episode like that- it felt like a piece of her broke off. The only thing she really could do, to show Kira that she wasn't ignoring her efforts, was to gently take her hand and give it a light squeeze- like sister's did.

Kira desperately wanted to know what had happened with her friends, and how Kayo knew about it, because he was behaving like he'd known. For now, she just squeezed Ruby's hand back as they all walked over to Stein's place. Once they reached the dirt road, however, Kira couldn't contain it anymore. "What happened back there?" she asked Ruby.

Kayo chuckled. "I'm not the one that got beat up trying to help a friend, man," he said, and saw that they were getting closer.

Chaos chuckled, and couldn't keep himself from wincing slightly. Kayo was already worried- and he was obviously in some pain, even if he was hiding it. A weapon is ready to die for their meister. Beat up was an understatement. "But you wanted to help." He mused in a low voice.

What caused the break-down, or what did Chaos do to calm her down? She wondered, curious. Either way. Ruby shook her head lightly after a moment of silently questioning herself and the events that had unfolded. She was actually thankful to be seeing Stein's creepy house/ lab. But she knew she couldn't avoid it forever, now that they knew.. Had Chaos told Kayo before it happened? He certainly seemed like it.

Chaos glanced over at the girls and smirked. They were too clever for their own good. Ruby walked up to the doors and opened them without a second thought, then she gazed at Kira. "I swear, I'll talk to you after Stein takes care of Chaos." She promised, hoping Kira would understand.

Kira watched her friend go and open the door for the guys. She Heard what Ruby had to say and then nodded. She understood completely and didn't mind waiting. Taking care of Chaos was a priority here after all.

Ruby offered a small smile, turning to look at Stein as he approached the group. "Isn't it a little late to be wandering through the cemetery?" He asked, turning the screw in his head and observing the children. Ruby wasn't able to speak at that moment, and she averted her eyes. He could probably figure why they were there. The usually nutty professor, just glanced over the students before gesturing his hand inside his home. "Come e on, I'll take a look at him." He said, then turned to go nback inside.

Ruby followed, and stood in the living room, next to the couch. The inside of his place didn't look too shabby..for the kind of person he was. It was strange though. Definitely. Stein glanced a Kayo and reached a hand towards the boys. "Come with me." He spoke lowly, then led them to the back, where he had a kind of hospital/ lab look to it. Chaos didn't feel too comfortable with how..normal..he was acting.

The twins walked with the other two, not really sure what to expect from the home of a professor like Stein, but what they saw still surprised them. Whatever they had expected, they definitely hadn't expected a place as clean... no, normal, as this. With the exception of the patched-up look of the place, of course. That was probably the only thing weird about it.

Kayo then nodded in obedience and helped Chaos into wherever it was that Stein was taking them. He gave his sister and Ruby a reassuring look before entering Stein's lab.

Kira watched the guys go inside and sighed. She then looked at Ruby, then at the couch and back at Ruby again. "Might as well make ourselves comfortable," she said. "Seems like they're gonna take a while. She sat down on the couch, breathing a little deeply.

Stein led the boys to his lab, and gestured his arm to the bed. "Have a seat over there, and take off your shirt so I can examine you properly." The man said in a low voice. Chaos eased away from Kayo and sat on the edge of the bed and slipped his shirt off, while Stein went and got a couple of things. Then he approached the demon scythe. Just by glancing at his soul, he knew he had to do something to stabilize it- otherwise his soul would shattered, just like glass. Only picking up the pieces would be highly impossible. Even for Ruby. Aril maybe.. but the man was a mad genius! "You don't have to look so though- you're lucky she didn't shatter you." Stein mused in a low voice. "The pain you must be in must be agonizing. Lucky for you, these walls are sound poof."

Even if he were to start screaming, the girls wouldn't hear him. Chaos grit his teeth when Stein put a hand to his back. Then the professor pulled his hand back. "I'll have to stitch your soul together with my Soul Thread Sutures(*) to stabilize it. You and I will be bound together for at least a couple of days. " Stein spoke, then glanced at the other twin. "Kayo, join the girls and take them home." Stein spoke. "I will need absolute concentration to hold my soul threads in place until his soul is stable. You can come back after I released my soul threads." He said in a low voice.

Ruby just stood there for a moment, then joined Kira on the couch. "I'm sorry.." She murmured softly. "I don't know what came over me.. I have a case of lunacy, I was born with it, but I've never lost control of it like that. It's easier to control then madness but a lot more dangerous.." She started to speak in a soft wavering voice, as tears brimmed her eyelids. "I don't know what I would've done if you or Kayo had been hurt..and Chaos.." She paused, her breath jagged. She'd never forgive herself if she hurt any of her friends- and she knew Chaos was in pretty bad shape, thanks to her.
