We were doing it with my parents over messenger - they were at their house and we were at ours, but playing the same rules XD We used more than half a big bottle of Bailey's, which wasn't good for us haha.
Today I managed to screw something up massively. I took a load of videos at the event and uploaded them to Instagram Stories. My method is then to use these short clips, stitch them together, and create a longer YouTube recap.
Guess what... I forgot to save the videos X___X by the time I remembered about half of them disappeared from Stories already. Both my other instagram accounts I have it set up so they would save automatically. I don't know why this one wasn't. I feel like such an idiot now.

Don't your friends have some of them too?
Well, like any drinking game would be. Everyone makes their own rules but something like every time you hear a specific word or see a specific gesture you gotta drink, or even guessing points and that sort of stuff. You can get get very creative.

Nope. I just went with my partner and since I am the photographer, I am the only one who took photos or videos. And since I was taking them, he didn't think to save them. I mean, why would he, right? It was my job to do it. It's not even like I didn't do the job for that matter, I just never saved it ;___;
Ours is based around traditional things. So we divide the countries up (this year very simple: girls took odd numbers in the running order, boys took even numbers). And if one of your entries uses national dress, does a traditional dance, plays a traditional instrument, or sings in a language other than English or French which are the official Eurovision languages, you have to take a shot. There were a fair few examples of that last night XD

Give it a couple of years and you'll have to drink when we (the UK) show up too X__X Although I don't get how we scored so well haha, normally we do much worse. Can't tell if it means Europe is all like "byeee never liked you anyway so glad you're off" haha. I wish we weren't leaving though.
I am recovering from my despair lol. I think I can just about get something together. It's a shame I don't have the earlier videos but I took some extra shots of the products we picked up, and we're going to add an "unboxing" style segment for our VIP goody bags.

I thought the UK was just leaving the European Union, not Europe as a continent.
UK did alright in Eurovision, but it wasn't my favourite... just like many others. Were a bit much ballads for me this year. I watch Eurovision actively since 2009 (didn't know it was a thing before then as my parents never introduced me to it) and I genuinely find this the worst year so far. I managed to muster a few favourites though, which were Belarus and Moldova, although I must admit the sax guy really spiced it up there, haha. I kinda liked Romania (where everyone pampers the yodeling a bit too much), but the rapping part really makes me want to delist it as a favourite.
I read about the issue, that's really a bummer (to say it politely). I see you're picking up well though, good you can come up with a back-up anyway.
And sorry for disappearing, haha.

We are, but I didn't say Europe the continent :P We can't physically move our country lol.
It's all about cultural tastes. My favourites were Sweden, Australia, Portugal, and the UK (and not actually because of home country bias, I did like it). We play a rating system out of 10 and I gave those all a 10. I gave Belarus 5 and Moldova 7, and Romania a 3 haha. They were just a bit "what was in the charts 5 to 10 years ago" for me.

I didn't think of physically moving out either, but what I mean is that I am pretty sure that not all countries are part of the European Union whilst of course part of Europe since Eurovision isn't necessarily for the European Union I think? But I must say my knowledge on this is limited.
That's true. I did ratings last year as well, but whilst seeing the semifinals I just didn't feel it. It's a taste thing I guess. I did kinda like Sweden (would probably be in a top 10), but I have to say I already forgot most of the songs. That's uh... how Eurovision works. Event is over and people tend to move on rather quickly. XD

I kinda liked Bulgaria though couldn't help but think how that guy looked part of a kpop band. Sweden was nice too, disliked Romania and Moldova and I only saw the last 6-8 countries or so because I was outside before ;o
