Lol!

That reminds me of a study on marketing done once, I read about it in college, students took two boutiques, pretty nearly the same stuff, one on a one way street going north the other one block over on the one way street going south, and they worked with both proprietors, and for a week they had one of them using pleasant music drifting out an open door while the other was silent, then reversed which did what, then had one of them have the scent of baking bread drifting out the open door, then reversed which store did that, then tried both music and the scent while the other had nothing, and reversed, then had one do music and scent while the other did just music, and reversed, and then had one do music and scent while the other did just scent, and reversed.
(Reversing the roles helped control for anything they couldn't factor in, of course)

Anyhow. Seems like the smell of baking bread is REALLY good at selling stuff. Even stuff that's clothes and not food.

Oh wow, super-duper effective! Hee hee hee, I didn't realize even the suggestion of it worked...

Some realtors will bake cookies right before someone comes to look at a house for sale because the smell is positive and reminds people of home.

Oh, clever! Next time any of my family members needs to sell a place, I'll remember that! Bake bread and cookies -and leave the cookies out.

Is that a real thing? Does someone actually sell bottled bakery scent?

They do have vanilla, and cinnamon, and cookie, etc air fresheners!
