I know... I guess it's a little. Far fetched.

But it's the one you get through trades (thus levels up super fast) and its held item greatly increases Critical hit ratio. Besides, the Pidgey line feels super underpowered and I'm not sure what other flying type to use? I'm currently raising a Dragonair to fill up my dex as much as possible, so should I perhaps push on with a Dragonite?

Well, I'm playing on a Virtual Boy on the computer so I get to speed up the process by putting the game speed to like. 200%. Shhh, don't tell anyone... Regardless, each battle is like 3000 exp a time, so it takes forever. Buh.

I don't know if the older games are harder or not, but I've always level grinded...after that one time in Sapphire when I got to the Elite Four with a level 30+ team except for my level 64 Blaziken...Took forever to beat them with only one strong teammate. Never want to go through that again. XD

It would make an interesting challenge, though. Use one pokemon to beat the Elite Four.

As someone who started playing pokemon quite late in their life (and therefore on newer games, my first was white 2), I got myself the yellow edition when they released it on the eshop and I think it is quite a bit harder. Although what I mainly find harder is that a lot of information is far less available ingame than in the newer editions. And at least when I have internet access around I can look up all the stuff on pokewiki or bulbapedia or some site like that, must have been way worse back in the day.

Hey look at me, I did it ;-) Swapped out the Farfetch'd for the Dragonair I was training, and there we go. First time I'll see the post-League content for the LG/FR games, too!

I know someone that has done that several times, even has videos of it. He likes to do starter only no evolving runs of the games.

My sister's husband once decided to get a bunch of Magikarp up to level 100 and challenge the league. Apparently even at that level, Magikarp were having a hard time. XD

Yeah it is actually, I've been on it for 7 years now, they've done a lot of improvements over the years since I joined, used to be a lot harder to find a lot of the eggs you were looking for it's not as bad about that now.

Anyways I dd the demo event last night, interesting, but more silly then anything like the one with the girl with the sprained ankle.

Aaaaghhhhh! That reminds me that I haven't checked the demo in a couple of days. I hope I didn't miss a meet-up time!!
