I have skype in my e-mail so I can talk to him there, most of the people I had on YIM anymore weren't using it anymore anyways or just completely stopped talking to me, but it was my only real major way to keep in contact with people for over 10 years, especially once MSN/Windows Live messenger was shut down and changed over to skype in the first place.

I use AIM with Pidgin. Is nice and unobtrusive, and doesn't keep me from using other programs while I'm using it.

Yeah they caused that with the new version, I saw that in their dumb faq. Originally they weren't even going to put out a new desktop version either, they only did it because people refused to use the webbrowser(which was no better then the new version)

blargh! today's been a blargh day.....my boss didn't even say goodbye when i said it to him in passing. made me think that i wasn't suppose to leave when i did. but i checked the schedule 3 times and it said exactly what i thought it had said. :( *sighs*
