I think we've reached the point in this election cycle when the Republican voters who don't support Trump stopped voting. The moderates wouldn't vote for Cruz anyway...

Maybe the Trump non supporters deceided what is the point of voting anymore?
At like 8 my time last night they already said Trump was winning
Indiana. And I guess only 5% of the votes came in.
Kinda too early for my taste to announce who won for the party.
And I can understand why no one would vote for Cruz.
I read this morning that he dropped out of the race with a horrible
loss last night. Haven't seen much on Trump or Clinton last night.

Such a wonderful speech my Robert. He did a great job. Sad he was
taken from us as well. I guess people truly feared the entire
Kennedy family.

And so true on the conspiricies. I just wished the truth
would come out, but our government would never do that.

This article is pretty funny. There are some parts I'm not totally on board with, but I agree Trump is an easy target for Clinton. I giggle every time I hear men on television or the radio wondering if he'll be too much for her, as if there's a strong woman on the face of the planet who hasn't spent her entire life dealing with assholes exactly like Trump. Hell, I learned how to handle guys like him when I was in elementary school and while technically I don't think a presidential candidate can lock another presidential candidate in a closet, the theory is the same.

Basically, there ain't a strong, aggressive woman on the face of the planet who can't deal with a bully. That's how she BECAME a strong, aggressive woman--because she had to crack some skulls when she was a kid just to get her effin lunch.

And Hillary has had to deal with more sexist bullshit than pretty much ANYONE. Like, it is completely fucking nuts how much of this stuff she still has to deal with, even in 2016.

I'll read the article.
And it is sad that today women are still treated poorly.
And I can not imagine how much of that crap Clinton has
to deal with. And considering how she is acting now. It
makes me think even more so that when Bill was in office.
She had to of been the one controlling the reins like so many
people have already speculated.
But it still sad how women can be treated today.

Ok this is truly the best thing I read in my life.

I know!

It's a good way to use Trump's words against him.

I expect to see a lot of attacks from Trump's people about Bill's infidelity. Normally those kinds of attacks would only come from campaign surrogates, but knowing Trump he'll probably be leading the charge. This line of attack might work with some men, but it'll be a disaster with women.

A lot of women have had an experience of being wronged by a man and then being blamed for it, as if their partner's problems are a result of her failings as a woman. This is all based in the incredibly sexist idea that a woman is obligated to address someone else's sexual needs. And while unfortunately some women are still vulnerable to this insane notion, the vast majority of us are totally over it.

Ya no kidding. He would so lead the charge.
And some women commend Hiliary for staying with him.
And honestly that takes alot of balls to do with a public
infidelity. And ya like it's our faults. We totally told the guys
to go out and bang some dumb broad. Yup I totally see
us women doing that to ourselves. We are so incompetent.
>.< Moronic men... Actually with people like that the word men
or man does not fit at all. Pig, scum? Those sound better.

And your last statement. That some women are still under that
insane notion.... HAHA. Kirk Cameron former actor turned
psycho actually said this: 'Wives are to honor and respect and follow their husband's lead, not to tell their husband how he ought to be a better husband,'
'When each person gets their part right, regardless of how their spouse is treating them, there is hope for real change in their marriage.'
So ya there are too many women out there believing crap like that.
Especially if they follow that retard. His own sister is on his side with
that statement. But his former sister on Growing Pains is not. She
doesn't agree with him. Thought I'd mention that with your comment.
Sad that women today actually are that brainwashed to believe
that... All because of a dumb ass religion.

Trump's rise to prominence has been insanely depressing. I find I am less distressed by his personal horribleness than I am by the fact that not only are there people who support him in spite of his horribleness, there are people who support him because of it. And we aren't talking about a trivial, tiny number of people; we are talking about a large portion of America's population.

The devisiveness, the in-group mentality, the hatred, even the violence... these are what make his campaign, perhaps even him, Evil.

Kipkn, we couldn't agree more. One of the things I've taken great comfort in over the last few months is his 70% disapproval rating with women.

That is a historic statistic. No presidential candidate has EVER been so reviled--not even his racist predecessors like Barry Goldwater (who was the GOP candidate in 1964). Women make up over half of general election voters. With numbers like that, there's extremely little chance Trump can win.

It may seem naive, but I really hope we'll all emerge from this better and wiser than we were. Maybe this time of darkness will lead to a greater understanding, just as the unrest of the 60s led to greater racial and gender equality. And sometimes I feel like an idiot for holding onto this hope, but at other times its the only thing that keeps me from despairing, so I want to share it with you.

A Thought:

I think a lot of the Hillary attacks from Trump's team will backfire with women, because even though a lot of women do not like Hillary Clinton it is very important to the vast majority that the first major party candidate who is also a woman is treated with respect.

So I'm watching the news and I'm noticing a lot of moments where a male commentator will start to say something like "NO ONE likes Hillary!" and a female commentator will say something like, "no, if NO ONE liked her no one would vote for her, so yes some people do like her." And then the next second that woman carefully explains the issues she has with Clinton, but all the while managing to keep a respectful tone.

So I think the Trump people are going to find out that the women of America are not going to tolerate a female presidential candidate being humiliated or patronized, regardless of their political affiliations.

While I dread that this might not occur until there is some kind of cataclysmic peak or climax with a nasty falling out, I truly hope you are right, and my inner idealist thinks that surely we will all be ready to do better once we get past November.
