I had all of the vaccinations I was supposed to have as a kid.

I don't get flu shots, though. I've only had the flu once. Wasn't much fun. Of course, at first I thought it was just a cold, but then I got sicker. So, I went on Google to find out exactly what the different symptoms were. Lots of info on lots of sites, but the conclusion that I came to was: if you can drive to the store to buy yourself some medicine, it's a cold; if you can barely walk to the kitchen to get yourself some water to take medicine with, it's the flu.

I've had my daughter vaccinated with all the required shots, plus the chickenpox vaccine. Though required now, it was not when I had her vaccinated. I just wanted to make sure she didn't get it because I never did and didn't want to risk her giving it to me.

When I was younger chicken pox vaccines weren't required and parents would purposely give it to their kids do they wouldn't have to worry when they grew up. I actually kind of prefer that over the vaccine being required. It's possible they could get it as an adult when it is much more dangerous.

It is terrifying how easily the American public was swayed by Jenna McCarthy and a lying scientist. There's nothing wrong with being ignorant, as you simply need to acquire the knowledge, but being willfully ignorant...
Risking your entire countries health for ... what? Not having to admit you're wrong? Idgi. Idgi America.

My children and I are vaccinated because we are educated and understand the actual science and history behind vaccines. Unlike the sheeple who are confused. lol. There are very very few legitimate excuses to not vaccinate.

I'm american and apologize for all of the idiot anti-vaxxers who think they have the right to not get their kids vaccinated, thereby risking the lives and health of others who might not be allowed to get vaccinated.

Infants can't get most vaccinations, so it's important for those around them to be vaccinated so they can't get the baby sick. Also, those with compromised immune systems often can't be vaccinated, and some people actually are allergic to some vaccine ingredients. All of those people are put at risk because some idiot parents believe the one single researcher who claimed that vaccines cause autism. That research was proven to be false - completely made up.

You just can't fix stupid.

I believe in vaccinations. My younger brother died because my family has a genetic defect than can cause odd reactions to medications and he had an allergic reaction. Even that will not stop me from looking into vaccinating any and all of my future children.

I'm wholeheartedly behind vaccination and public education on their benefits. I was fully vaccinated as a child, with the exception of the chickenpox and HPV vaccines which weren't available when I was within the age range where I could get them (HPV costs $70 a dose and my insurance doesn't cover them past 18). My daughter is on a delayed vaccination schedule due to health problems. I feel like it's important that people and doctors are more vocal about the misinformation being spread by anti-vaxxers. Most parents who are making these decisions now, never had to deal with health epidemics like polio and the measles so I can understand how scare tactics like implying vaccines cause autism seem like the worst case scenario.

People who don't vaccinate really need to get educated. Honestly it baffles me at how many people just believe what celebrities say, and think that they are right when they don't even have a degree in Biology (something that I myself am almost done getting a BS in).

Currently, at my school there are 15 cases of the mumps. 15. Our school at this point has allowed free vaccines for them so that it can increase herd immunity, since there are people who cannot get the vaccine because they may be allergic to one of the ingredients in the thing.

America is rather stupid, and I really sometimes hate living in this country since everyone believes whatever the hell they hear from someone's mouth. Heck, we even have politicians who don't think college is necessary because they dropped out. However, that is another topic on its own.

The arguments against vaccination are so ridiculous.
"your kids can be autistic!!"
IS AUTISM WORSE THAN A DEAD KID??? Like is mental illness so heavily stigmatized that parents would rather their kid die than get a vaccination that will save their lives???
Anti-vaxxers are disgusting human beings.
