Hello everyone,

as you might already have noticed, some things have changed around here. We have started the process of changing KOfK's appearance.

So far only the overal design and the starting page have been changed. All other pages are not updated yet to fit the new design. This was made so we aren't caught up in layout work for weeks or months, without being able to work on any other updates at all. Therefore all the other pages will slowly be updated to match the new layout over time.
We are aware that until everything is updated, some things might look a bit weird. Sorry about that!

We are aware that many people don't like changes and that tastes are different and that it always takes some time to get to used to new things. So, even if you are unhappy about this at first, please give the new layout a try. Maybe it will grow on you after all.

Last but not least: Every update comes with errors (or so it seems). We think this update doesn't have any, but, unfortunately, such changes always causes problems, because old designs or single images are stored in your cache and it might lead to all kinds of strange appearances. So, our first suggestion would be to do a hard refresh (Control + F5) and, if you are still seeing weird things, clear your browser's cache. Sometimes browsers are stubborn and not even that will help (as I can tell from experience :qd: ). In this case the problem usually fixes itself after a few days.

The new layout seems really nice!! I like the new banners and overall design. I also like that the menu bar is a bit larger - sometimes it was difficult to keep the mouse in the right place, especially with a laptop track pad. ^~^ I REALLY like the [Friends] feature you added, that will be sooo helpful to instantly see who is online at any time without having to look at our profiles!

I do have one critique, which is that the white part of the background is a bit too blinding to my eyes. >.< It is very pretty, but I think it is very bright and it doesnt really help people with sensitive eyes, like me!

Thank you for working so hard for us, always~~ I am excited to see the rest of the changes! It will be a bit weird to get used to, but thats true of any changes. (:

The new vertical menu bar is great! I mostly check kofk on my phone and this really makes navigation a lot easier <3 thank you for this change ^^

Love the new layout! It's a bit different from what I'm used to, the old BG was much darker...now it looks very airy and fresh! I also love how the drop down screens are going down instead of across, a lot of the time when I went to the drop down screens, I kept missing the option I wanted to click! For me, that's the best part of this layout...keep it up! c: ­­­­­­­­

I really like the new menu bar.. but the design/the background is so flashy that it's kinda hard to stay long on this site and look at it x_x
It could be a bit darker....

The friends feature was already there, though, Vee :mclaugh:
The vertical dropdown on the menu is great, though at the moment it's still acting as a mouse-over rather than appearing when you click; clicking acts as a link. I'll be looking forward to trying the site on my ipod.

Things I like:
● Intricate framing on the menu bar
● Vertical dropdown
● Castle behind the logo
● Rotation of cute pictures

Things I don't like:
● No more pretty vines
● No more adorable butterfly flapping its wings
● The blinding brightness

Edit for Firn: My brightness is already on minimum.
