I think I still have a few older doodles on my DA from way back... I'll check (or upload some pictures if not)

Be warned, they're bad... The drawings from the contest are also on there... The one time I tried computer drawing (but with a mouse) and the only drawing with colours I've made since... Well a long time ago...

And yeah. I'm still horribly critical about my work, but even then, I think my family was worse. A child needs encouragement, not being told it'll never even touch the heels of her cousin who still doesn't understand the concept of '5 fingers on one hand' when drawing the same person...

(Edit: so I found what I was originally gonna enter in the Nympharia contest 1 but then I changed it (-_-") this was a sketch during class 2 and this was the only ever drawing I made on computer and finished, for the ehlenia contest. I hate the look of it, but I think for a mousedrawn one and a first try it's still okayish... though I'm not proud of it 3 there's a few others on there, but none of my later doodles... I like those a bit more... I made an entire series of chibi's with all my friends and teachers during one specific class that had everyone falling asleep... Those were more fun. I was the daruma, a friend ended up being teacher'y' and the two lovebirds next to us were squirrels. Another boy who was complaining he hadn't gotten a chibi yet was a butterfly... I had a lot of fun making that. Of course the teacher in question was a djinn/sandman (I think I'll try to find those... I was more proud of those...

I'm also from a small farmer's community myself. It really was a 'whole new world' when I headed to a big city to study at uni. Mind if I ask where you're from?

I am currently residing in Ayr, Scotland but I am from the United States, via a
small community. I don't mind the change myself, I have been to the bigger cities and not too sure if I would change the smaller community for a larger one or not.

I have a wide range of interests, anime is one but I am quite behind on the latest ones sadly. I use to have friends whom loved anime and would give me recommendations but I haven't found many anime fans over here nor do I really know where to go to locate any besides Glasgow and I don't have the money to keep going up to the city to hang out. :(

I also like drawing via mouse, games and reading.. I am quite a boring person probably.. haha..

and I have to agree, I am much more relaxed chatting online via in person unless I get along with the person in real life. Than again, most people I know offline, I wouldn't really feel comfortable talking to about things.. At least I feel more comfortable here cause I know there's someone with similar interests and I can relax and form friendships, hopefully. XD

I don't really mind small towns either. I find I get too stressed from the larger cities and how busy they are...


I find that somehow it's often easier to talk about certain things online than in real life, so I totally understand that.

I wish you could come and visit here, don't think of any of my friends overseas is interested in coming to Scotland. I think it more or less depends which area as well. I live in the South and it's really a dead town after 5pm at nights unless your into bars. I wouldn't mind going to a bar if I was with a group of people but solo, I am not interested in hanging out in a bar all night than I am not a heavy drinker. I rather spend my money on my dolls or other interests than boozing. XD Now I know someone will be having a birthday soon and the party is at a bar, which I will attend cause he is a friend and I love chatting with him. We're 30 years in difference but he's very easy to chat with.

I am not too sure if city life is for me. I was up in Glasgow and I liked visiting it but living there.. I think I would want to spend a few nights there before even thinking about that and plus, if I was going to do that, I would want to have work in place before moving or at least, flatmates.

I find it's easier cause your not staring the person face to face, I am always creeped out when someone is looking me straight in the eye while talking.. and your always wondering if the person is judging you, online you really can't judge a person based on looks, etc. I find that much easier cause I know lots of people think I am crazy, lol.. In truth, I think that was why my friends loved me so much was cause I was one person who didn't care that I was in High School and was still into Pokemon. XD

It depends really... There's a few places on here that are quite nonjudgemental, but there's always a few judgemental people around. I still like that kofk, in general is a far more nice community than most online forumbased sites...

Usually you can indeed tell a lot from how people write, but it depends really. I'm not a native speaker myself, so when I get tired there's a whole bunch of mistakes that slip into my writing. I personally dislike that a lot, but sometimes I really can't do anything about it.... I wish I had a 'second language' but I was raised in only one language so yeah... All my languages are 'supposedly' schooltaught. (though I know I took in a lot of English as a kid, so that school had little left to teach me...)

What's your first language Mika? (at least I think ESL means English Second Language?)

I know. I usually don't make a lot of mistakes if any, but sometimes I get sloppy...
But when I'm truly tired no language works correctly for me. Not even my native language. I seem to regress then to my dialect and bad enough that the only other girl among my friends who speaks my dialect (though in a lesser degree than I do) can't even understand all I'm saying. It's just a problem I have. The only other language I can do then is a really bad cliche'd version of English (true cockney I have no clue why... )

I've been on FR as of the last registration window, but somehow I haven't gotten the hang of the forum on there yet...
