I like almost all animals but I prefer cats over dogs. A lot of dogs are just kind of sloppy and loud. I work at an animal shelter and every time I go into the dog area they all start barking. Love hanging out with the puppies and small dogs though, and almost all the cats at the shelter are so sweet and cuddly and love getting to lay in someone's lap and receive attention.

Kitten and puppy season is in full swing here too, so many tiny babies just one neutering/spaying away from being up for adopting! I have to wait until after our vacation but once we get back I get to adopt a kitten of my own. It's been 10 years since we had a kitten, 13 since I've had my very own kitten that belonged to me. Sebastian, my 3 year old Maine Coon, has a lot of energy and a little sibling would do him some good.

Would love to have a pet fox but in my opinion they are still a little too wild to truly be considered domestic. Even the ones from Russia still require a large caged in area they cannot escape from, and they usually recommend you not keep them inside because they still smell bad like wild foxes.

The videos on youtube from people with pet foxes are so great to watch though. The foxes are happy and excited to see their owners and they are just the best.
Yeah. I should probably look up more about them. I know a little. But still. And yeah, I love to watch those videos too. c: They're so cute. Is it bad that I just watch animal videos or look at pictures when I'm sad? It makes me happy. Lol and I wouldn't need to as much if I had a pet to begin with. I miss my fat cat. xD

I'm the kind of person that, when I get into something, just delves into the topic and will spend a lot of time just researching. Foxes is one of those things so I have looked into what you need to own one and I suggest you do as much as you can before making a decision.

And no, it's not bad that you do that when sad. As long as it makes you happy and doesn't hurt anyone it's perfectly fine. You really should look into Siberian kittens or other hypo-allergenic breeds. lemme link you to pictures just to get you smiling.

Kitties!

Omgoshness! They're so fluffy! I need one! But I'm gonna have to wait until I'm out of the house and everything. Since my parents don't really want pets anymore. Just a few more years~

And though I love foxes, I might not end up getting them, but it doesn't mean I don't have to fangirling over them~ c:

Hehe indeed! I adore foxes as well and would love to own one too, but I know it's not a likely possibility. Sometimes I like to imagine that, since I live so close to the woods, I may come across an abandoned or orphaned little baby fox kit and I raise it and keep it.

Sometimes I wish I lived closer to the woods, but then I would get paranoid way to easily. If I was still in Missouri, I might live closer. But where I am now, there isn't much. Little areas, but then there's everything else. Ugh.

If I could find baby animals, omgoshness, I would help them and everything! One of my friends' sisters dad found a baby opossum at a construction site and he kept it and whatever, but my friends sister accidentally dropped it, and it didn't make it. :c I felt bad. Even if it was an opossum.

Oops sorry, rambled again. xD

Hehe, it's okay to ramble. I volunteer at an animal shelter and they are always looking for more fosters to care for the animals too young to be adopted. I would love to do that but my mom insists I would end up wanting to keep them all.

And I'm sure you're moms right. c: I would love to keep them all, but from my allergies and everything else, I don't think I could have that many. Haha. But it'll be okay. And I wanted to volunteer at an animal shelter, but I thought I probably shouldn't with all my allergies, but I still might. I'm volunteering at a hospital now though, so I just call it "work". Lol C:

Haha! That's the reason why I've never volunteered at an animal shelter. Every time I go there I want to adopt a dog! "Oh but look at his sad face! And he looks quite old... Nobody will save this one :("

Volunteering at a shelter is great, you get to play and cuddle the cats and puppies. And the feeling you get when you see a pet get adopted and taken home is so great. Recently a large black cat that had been at the shelter for almost all his life was finally adopted. He was a big cuddle bug and very lax, but because he's a black cat not many people were interested.

That's another thing I've noticed, most of the black cats stay at the shelter for years despite how affectionate and cuddly they are. People are ridiculously superstitious and pass up the black cats for cats they think are prettier. I try to help by telling them that some countries consider black cats to be lucky and help ward off evil. In fact the unlucky black cat superstition only applies to unfamiliar cats that pass by you, and that it's considered good luck to own a black cat.

I love the shelter I volunteer at, no kill with a built in clinic. So many of the animals are so sweet and want attention.
