this is a nice idea! unfortunately, i have a packed week and i won't be able to participate

i do have an idea how to lessen the possible inflation that comes with such event: make the additionaly earned food a sub-currency, that can be spent only in the Shops (within a time limit, as not to let additional currency stay permanently on the site).

as to why: i love many shop items, but when i do save up some food, i usually spend it on the marketplace, because i've just seen a sweet deal on something i wanted. and the shop items that are on my wishilis get postponed from buying.

such an event would be an incentive to actually spend food in the Shops!

I did actually think about possibly making something like this, and while I like the idea, there are two reasons that kept me from implementing it:
1) I have already great problems updating all site features we already have regularly, just rushing from one update to the next, usually finishing things like MTs or Event items only a few days before the deadline. Some shops haven't been updated for over a year! I couldn't possibly find the time to make yet another shop and yet more new items regularly.
2) We already have Food Points, Fairy Coins and Troth Tokens, that's already 3 currencies, and I think, at some point, it might really just be too much. (and also extremely confusing for new users)
