~ Fluorita ~
Fluorita was discovered when Hadassah, Ham und Yigal, the geology students, were carrying out their experimental project in the High Plains. They accidentally found a slot (that could have been generated as a result of the methods used in the experiment) in the rock where the unconscious wild knuffel was stuck.
According to safety principles the Knuffel could not be taken to the populated parts of the campus (due to the fear of radiation and other possible negative effects on the environment and health or behaviour of the students) and was taken directly to the Academy Research Facility. There it was examined for having major injuries by Omri, a Physiologist and 4th-grade Medicine student, who did not discover any serious deviations and reported the necessity of further examinations after the clarification of the knuffel type (which cannot be performed without the subject’s agreement). When the knuffel regained its consciousness, Levana and Behery, the 4th grade Neurology and 3rd grade psychiatry students accordingly, found out that it could not explain how it got to where it was found and had no memories whatsoever. Nonetheless, the knuffel was completely able to perform all the physical and mental activities an average fully developed (evolution stage 1 and higher) wild knuffel can, like walking, speaking, etc. The Research Facility specialists came to the conclusion that it has recently become a living being and haven’t made any experience in the world yet but did realise itself to some level.
After the knuffel gave its agreement for further examinations, it was lightly scanned for defining the approximate type. The scanning resulted in uncovering the chemical formula that have probably affected the knuffel’s development. To avoid deeper scanning the examination was assigned to the chemistry department, that passed it to the mineralogy department.
It was soon discovered that the wild knuffel was highly influenced by fluorite, if not directly “extracted” from it. From this point the assigned researches concentrated on the evolution that was supposed to support or demolish the relation to fluorite. From the very first stage the knuffel showed the ability to grow crystals corresponding the formula of fluorite that also took shapes typical for this mineral. It also proved to be capable of some sorts of mental magic, approximately from stage four. Fluorite had been used for intellect aimed magic, and this coincidence was taken as another hint towards the relation of the wild knuffel to the mineral.  At the fifth stage the knuffel's eyes started glowing evenly (with glow intensifying while performing magic) which was seen as a connection to fluorescence.
With these facts at hand, the scientists of the Academy felt authorised to register a new wild knuffel type known as Fluorita, that also became a name for the first knuffel of this kind found.
However, it was reported that a number of other wild knuffel potentially belonging to the same type could be seen around the Candy Island.

It took me about a month to draw this Knuffel. The work started at the beginning of April and I submitted the files to be checked at April 26th. Yeah, around 20 days, we shall say. But I had my concepts ready and partly on paper beforehand, probably in March.
This would hardly be possible without the support of Spam Busters who didn't let me give up. I'm especially thankful to Lim, who checked every single step I made with of every single stage. Honestly, this was a strong incentive for me to work further! Even when she didn't have regular internet access, I knew I could send her my wips and she'll comment asap.
It took me two weeks to get down to writing Fluorita's story, even though it's been formed in my head a couple of days after the knuffel was released. However, the story is not over yet. As stated on the first page, I am planning to release a "series" of wild knuffel based on minerals. With every new type released we'll be getting closer to discovering where these knuffel come from. What if there's an ecological catastrophy drawing to the Kingdom? I'm sure the goddess Firn won't let this happen, but if there are sapient mineral-related knuffel walking the Candy Island, this is something worth studying.
What I need to keep the storyline moving, is not just drawing more knuffel. I also need your help in finding those that were adopted. The more we find, the better we can research the conditions of their "awakening", and in fact find out if it's awakening that makes them living beings, or reviving, or birth. In other words - what process "creates" this type of wild knuffel.
Apart from me slaving over things I don't know XD
So if you adopt Fluorita or see some adopted that are not listed on the front page yet, please let me know. It would be great to find them all (even if next to impossible).
