We do not make our own flour

That would be waaaaay to hard. We buy them at the local health food store for ones we use in small amounts, but the ones we use a lot we order online from Nuts.com (they have the best almond flour I've found).
Almond flour is one of the more expensive flours, but brown rice is pretty cheap (about half of almond).
Well, now I'm just on whatever dairy I want, since being off it didn't help (Vegan butter is nasty o.e). But we tried goat dairy (in case it was cow dairy that could be the problem) for a while, and that substitutes in just fine. (Butter made from goat's milk is so white! I can't stop seeing normal butter as yellow now

)
For pasta, we use either rice flour or a corn/quinoa blend that's really good.
This is a really good pasta dish, but it makes a ton, so I recommend it for when you have guests xD
ETA: I just posted my recipe for scones over in Alduril's hangout, so you can see them there or I can copy them over here if you're interested
