Oh I'm not sure about that. It reminds me though that my mom had some root canal problems or something. My dad too, and something also about his other impacted teeth? Actually, it was because of my dad's operation to remove those wisdom teeth that my mom decided for me to be checked since she had no idea why I had a space between my teeth.

I do recall the dentist mentioning a screw, but nothing about bone reformation. Hmmmm. I haven't visited him in a long time actually. XD

The dentists don't really talk about the reformation part (or deposition part) unless the patients will ask ^_^
I'm just not sure if that's the only method O.o

.... If I'm informed correctly, it seems like the dental work is more expensive in the states ... maybe because of insurance?

But even though it's painful to say it, good dental materials are really expensive ... it's burning holes through our wallets T_T
